[Bug 1842954] Re: AMD GPU hang/crash/black screen after suspend(ing)
** Description changed: This is a freeze which is obviously caused by a bug in the xserver-xorg- video-amdgpu package ver: 19.0.1* which is shipped with Ubuntu 19.04 and 19.10. Upstream fix is needed. Workaround: - sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list, copy-paste one line which contains "main multiverse universe restricted" and change the distribution name "eon" or "disco" to "bionic" (for this line only) + sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list, copy-paste one line which contains "main multiverse universe restricted" and change the distribution name "eoan" or "disco" to "bionic" (for this line only) So you will have a line like deb [url] bionic multiverse main restricted universe ctrl+o, save it sudo update sudo apt install xserver-xorg-core=2:1.19.6-1ubuntu4 sudo apt install xserver-xorg-video-amdgpu=18.0.1-1 sudo reboot If everything is OK then you should keep these packages by using: sudo apt-mark hold xserver-xorg-core=2:1.19.6-1ubuntu4 sudo apt-mark hold xserver-xorg-video-amdgpu=18.0.1-1 You can later unhold them by using the same commands with "unhold" If a newer bionic package version comes out (fe. a security update) you should unhold the packages do an apt update and use apt policy [package name without = and version] to check the new bionic versions that you can install using my original install commands with the proper version paramter. If something is not OK, then press E on grub menu, paste nomodeset parameter at the and of the kernel line then f10. After the kernel loading and the command line login you should just do an apt upgrade if you hadn't held the packages before. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1842954 Title: AMD GPU hang/crash/black screen after suspend(ing) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1842954/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1839271] Re: [MIR] zsys
Hello Didier, I agree with you about the snapd, juju, ubuntu-report (first I've heard of this one), not de-vendoring their code. I understand they were given some exemptions because they wanted identical code across all the supported distributions they use. However, other distributions also want to reduce the amount of vendored code in their packages. (It's not just us that are finding Go an uneasy fit into our support model.) I'm also very concerned about dependencies breaking APIs regularly. This is tolerable over nine months but is painful over five or ten years. I realize that authors are being asked to bear the brunt of the cost of de-vendoring but will see limited benefits over the next ten years. The security team will see great benefits over the next ten years but does not pay the upfront cost. I don't have perfect solutions to this. I do believe that there are long term benefits to everyone for devendoring Go: - We can focus on providing stable APIs (and hopefully, eventually, ABIs, to eliminate rebuilding) - We can focus on providing security fixes across multiple concurrently supported versions rather than trying to support whatever was in git on a random date - There's less need to copy-and-paste security fixes and bug fixes and features - Because each project would standardize on a given version in a series, there's less backporting when fixes are needed: rather than having eg four versions in a series, for six series, there's just six versions, one per series - The autopackage tests from every project will probably have better code coverage, branch coverage, etc, of dependencies than any one project could (This isn't restricted to just Go and Rust of course: a recent CVE in C code affects 19 source packages because of vendoring. It realistically should have affected just two. While an aberration in our C packages, this is standard operating procedure with Go.) I firmly believe that devendoring is a crucial part of keeping our technical debt reasonable. Putting in the work to reduce code duplication up front will pay dividends over time that benefit everybody. You're right that the benefits also accrue more quickly when everyone participates. [Bug 1626731] Re: uvcvideo 1-1.4:1.0: Entity type for entity Extension 4 was not initialized!
For anyone who is still having this problem, hopefully this will help you get your webcam working. I was able to get my webcam working and I am using a Dell Precision 7510 Laptop running Ubuntu 18.04.3. 1.) I issued "$dmesg | grep -i camera" in a terminal window and received "uvcvideo 1-11:1.0: Entity type for entity Camera 1 was not initialized!" which landed me here at this website (FYI I am still receiving that message and my camera works... as laurent.pinchart +bugzilla-kernel pointed out already it is a harmless warning). 2) I did a search for "ubuntu uvcvideo" in google and landed on "https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UVC"; which then pointed me to "https://www.berlios.de/software/linux-uvc/#download"; which then pointed me to "http://www.ideasonboard.org/uvc/";. 3) From "http://www.ideasonboard.org/uvc/";, if you scroll down to the bottom of it you will see a Downlaod section. Navigate to the "https://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/How_to_Obtain"; webpage and follow the "Basic" User's Approach instructions. 4) You may be asked to install pre-requisites during the build process. I had to issue the following command "$sudo apt install libproc- processtable-perl". 5) Once build is complete, run "$sudo make install". 6) I installed uvcdynctrl as floe suggested. I don't know if this helped or not sorry... 7) I then found and example file to test if the camera was working from "https://linuxtv.org/downloads/v4l-dvb-apis/uapi/v4l/v4l2grab.c.html";. I saved this file and tried to compile it "$gcc -o v4l2grab v4l2grab.c" and received an error that it couldn't find the libv4l2.h header file. So i searched for it using $sudo find / -name "libv4l2.h" and didn't find it. This led me to believe that I didn't have the v4l2 development library installed so I installed it $sudo apt install libv4l-dev. 8) I searched again and found it! I then set C include environment path variable to point to the directory containing the header file $export C_INCLUDE_PATH=/usr/include/ and changed #include "../libv4l/include/libv4l2.h" to just #include "libv4l2.h" 9) Tried to recompile and got a linking error, so I issued $gcc -o v4l2grab v4l2grab.c -lv4l1 -lv4l2 and waula, it compiled. Changed its permssions to be executable $chmod +755 v4l2grab (using octal format where 7 in binary is 111 corresponding to rwx for owner and 5 or 110 rw- for group and other) and ran it ./v4l2grab where then I saw the .ppm files in the directory where the executable was ran from, but this was not good enough I want live feed. 10) I then installed v4l-utils and ran $v4l2-ctl -d /dev/video0 --list- formats-ext. This gave me the parameters that are compatible with my webcam for video capture (width=1280, height=720, format=MJPG, and device index=0). 11) As a final death blow I ran the following v4l2-ctl -V --set-fmt-video=width=1280,height=720,pixelformat=MJPG --stream-mmap --stream-count=-1 --stream-to=test.jpg -d /dev/video0 but only got a single image. I think you need to incude OpenCV. Anyways, I hope this helps you atleast get images off of the webcam. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1626731 Title: uvcvideo 1-1.4:1.0: Entity type for entity Extension 4 was not initialized! [Bug 1801540]
Following my previous post, disabling the batch flag on both streams (patch 3 from comment 269), Steam is perfect, Discord is lagged again while acquiring. With the second patch from the comment 269, same identical problem without the patch (Discord perfect, Steam crackling for the first minute + audio slightly delayed). However when changing volume there was a little bit of distortion on the output audio (extremely small, but still audible, especially on high volumes), but it seems that using the workaround only on acquisition seems to have removed that small issue. If someone here had the same problem when changing volume, please try patch n.2 and report back. It seems that we can't have both working together simultaneously on my end. [Bug 1843107] [NEW] Themes and font settings don’t apply to X apps running in Wayland (g-s-d 3.33.90 → 3.33.92 regression)
Public bug reported: After upgrading gnome-settings-daemon from 3.33.90-1ubuntu2 to 3.33.92-1ubuntu1, my GTK theme and font settings selected with gnome- tweaks are no longer applied to X11 applications when running in a Wayland session (I tried Firefox and Emacs). This seems to be because gsd-xsettings is not running. Known workarounds: • downgrade gnome-settings-daemon to 3.33.90-1ubuntu2 and reboot; or • use Xorg instead of Wayland; or • manually start /usr/lib/gnome-settings-daemon/gsd-xsettings. [Bug 1843036] Re: [regression] SNMP missing disks in hrStorageTable
** Description changed: [IMPACT] It has been brought to me the following: Some hosts have started to cause UNKNOWN return values in Nagios for checks on their disks. This is because these hosts are no longer reporting their disks as part of the SNMP table hrStorageTable (1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1 ) - only memory devices are being reported. The affected hosts that I have investigated received updates for SNMP: Upgrade package libsnmp-base 5.7.3+dfsg-1.8ubuntu3.1 to 5.7.3+dfsg-1.8ubuntu3.2 Upgrade package libsnmp30 5.7.3+dfsg-1.8ubuntu3.1 to 5.7.3+dfsg-1.8ubuntu3.2 Upgrade package snmpd 5.7.3+dfsg-1.8ubuntu3.1 to 5.7.3+dfsg-1.8ubuntu3.2 It seems likely that this package update is the cause. As debug info, you can see the difference between 2 nearly identical servers, one of which received the SNMP updates, and one which did not. You can see that the one without the update is returning disks in the SNMP output: # snmpwalk -v2c -cpublic arcprsmt01 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3 iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.1 = STRING: "Physical memory" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.3 = STRING: "Virtual memory" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.6 = STRING: "Memory buffers" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.7 = STRING: "Cached memory" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.8 = STRING: "Shared memory" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.10 = STRING: "Swap space" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.31 = STRING: "/" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.37 = STRING: "/run" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.39 = STRING: "/dev/shm" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.40 = STRING: "/run/lock" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.41 = STRING: "/sys/fs/cgroup" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.67 = STRING: "/run/snapd/ns" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.70 = STRING: "/var/lib/docker/containers/3cad3d36991b677c37b08b374a7bfeceddf36a6b6754edaa1ff687b00111a6b8/mounts/shm" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.73 = STRING: "/var/lib/docker/containers/c605c4b76dea65d562ba024212a38e24fb710186c499187b6604478b7ff678e9/mounts/shm" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.82 = STRING: "/run/user/2002" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.253 = STRING: "/var/lib/docker/containers/dc74a157fbaaa284e0e5b8ca4afc88769bf625eb796d89a5d26f98a540cabf35/mounts/shm" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.256 = STRING: "/var/lib/docker/containers/6ce6193433f9c1c95cccbfbbe08a3f3385bdbc4f2e3f0baa02d11baf3866dfd2/mounts/shm" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.258 = STRING: "/run/user/1000" The other, which received SNMP updates, is returning only memory devices, such as swap and shmem: # snmpwalk -v2c -cpublic arcprsmt02 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3 iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.1 = STRING: "Physical memory" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.3 = STRING: "Virtual memory" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.6 = STRING: "Memory buffers" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.7 = STRING: "Cached memory" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.8 = STRING: "Shared memory" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.10 = STRING: "Swap space" [Test Case] - * Install/configure snmp snmpd - * Run snmpwalk: - (e.g. snmpwalk -v2c -cpublic localhost 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3) + * Install snmp snmpd + * Configure /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf by adding the following: + view systemonly included .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3 + * Restart snmpd + * Use snmpwalk: + ** snmpwalk -v2c -cpublic localhost 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3 + + Expected behavior is to see the disk as follow: + " + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.1 = STRING: "Physical memory" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.3 = STRING: "Virtual memory" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.6 = STRING: "Memory buffers" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.7 = STRING: "Cached memory" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.8 = STRING: "Shared memory" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.10 = STRING: "Swap space" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.31 = STRING: "/" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.33 = STRING: "/dev" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.45 = STRING: "/dev/lxd" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.46 = STRING: "/dev/.lxd-mounts" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.63 = STRING: "/proc/sys/kernel/random/boot_id" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.66 = STRING: "/dev/shm" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.67 = STRING: "/run" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.68 = STRING: "/run/lock" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.69 = STRING: "/sys/fs/cgroup" + " [Potential Regression] - None, the fix has been tested by various impacted users, and feedbacks were all positives. - This fix a regression introduced by : https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1835818 + The fix has been tested by various impacted users, and feedback were all positives. [Bug 1188569] Re: [SRU]Some keyboard shortcuts randomly stop working
I found a solution that works on Ubuntu 19.04... - Note: This is only for media keys (the keybindings that stop working for me) - Note: If you know a better way to set the keybindings to disabled then do that! ;) Steps: 1) Open Terminal and enter: "sudo apt install playerctl" then to be sure run "restart" 1) Go to settings 2) Find keyboard shortcuts (devices > keyboard) 3) Find play-pause under media and set it to: Ctrl+Shift+E or something you don't use (this is what I used) Explanation: you need to disable these shortcuts to actually use them (with playerctl) (Do this for each predefined media key keybinding, when you do it'll disable the last one done and they'll all be set to disabled except for one which is set to Ctrl+shift+E or whatever you chose) 4) Scroll to the bottom 6) Create a new custom keyboard shortcut 7) Set the name according to which action you desire, set the command to something similar to: "playerctl pause-play --player=spotify" more documentation can be found here: https://github.com/altdesktop/playerctl 8) Repeat steps 5-7 for each media key & modify the command accordingly (see Github link) 9) Create a new keyboard shortcut called deleteMe 1.0 10) Bind this to whatever you chose earlier (Ctrl+shift+E is what I used) 11) Now delete it! Ha, bet you didn't see that one coming! Anyways now all the media keys above should be set to disabled, now use your newly invigorated keybindings with ease! ;) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1188569 Title: [SRU]Some keyboard shortcuts randomly stop working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-shell/+bug/1188569/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

You can see that the one without the update is returning disks in the SNMP output: - # snmpwalk -v2c -cpublic arcprsmt01 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3 - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.1 = STRING: "Physical memory" - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.3 = STRING: "Virtual memory" - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.6 = STRING: "Memory buffers" - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.7 = STRING: "Cached memory" - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.8 = STRING: "Shared memory" - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.10 = STRING: "Swap space" - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.31 = STRING: "/" - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.37 = STRING: "/run" - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.39 = STRING: "/dev/shm" - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.40 = STRING: "/run/lock" - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.41 = STRING: "/sys/fs/cgroup" - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.67 = STRING: "/run/snapd/ns" - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.70 = STRING: "/var/lib/docker/containers/3cad3d36991b677c37b08b374a7bfeceddf36a6b6754edaa1ff687b00111a6b8/mounts/shm" - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.73 = STRING: "/var/lib/docker/containers/c605c4b76dea65d562ba024212a38e24fb710186c499187b6604478b7ff678e9/mounts/shm" - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.82 = STRING: "/run/user/2002" - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.253 = STRING: "/var/lib/docker/containers/dc74a157fbaaa284e0e5b8ca4afc88769bf625eb796d89a5d26f98a540cabf35/mounts/shm" - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.256 = STRING: "/var/lib/docker/containers/6ce6193433f9c1c95cccbfbbe08a3f3385bdbc4f2e3f0baa02d11baf3866dfd2/mounts/shm" - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.258 = STRING: "/run/user/1000" + # snmpwalk -v2c -cpublic arcprsmt01 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3 + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.1 = STRING: "Physical memory" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.3 = STRING: "Virtual memory" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.6 = STRING: "Memory buffers" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.7 = STRING: "Cached memory" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.8 = STRING: "Shared memory" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.10 = STRING: "Swap space" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.31 = STRING: "/" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.37 = STRING: "/run" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.39 = STRING: "/dev/shm" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.40 = STRING: "/run/lock" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.41 = STRING: "/sys/fs/cgroup" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.67 = STRING: "/run/snapd/ns" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.70 = STRING: "/var/lib/docker/containers/3cad3d36991b677c37b08b374a7bfeceddf36a6b6754edaa1ff687b00111a6b8/mounts/shm" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.73 = STRING: "/var/lib/docker/containers/c605c4b76dea65d562ba024212a38e24fb710186c499187b6604478b7ff678e9/mounts/shm" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.82 = STRING: "/run/user/2002" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.253 = STRING: "/var/lib/docker/containers/dc74a157fbaaa284e0e5b8ca4afc88769bf625eb796d89a5d26f98a540cabf35/mounts/shm" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.256 = STRING: "/var/lib/docker/containers/6ce6193433f9c1c95cccbfbbe08a3f3385bdbc4f2e3f0baa02d11baf3866dfd2/mounts/shm" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.258 = STRING: "/run/user/1000" The other, which received SNMP updates, is returning only memory devices, such as swap and shmem: - # snmpwalk -v2c -cpublic arcprsmt02 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3 - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.1 = STRING: "Physical memory" - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.3 = STRING: "Virtual memory" - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.6 = STRING: "Memory buffers" - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.7 = STRING: "Cached memory" - iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.8 = STRING: "Shared memory" + # snmpwalk -v2c -cpublic arcprsmt02 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3 + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.1 = STRING: "Physical memory" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.3 = STRING: "Virtual memory" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.6 = STRING: "Memory buffers" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.7 = STRING: "Cached memory" + iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.8 = STRING: "Shared memory" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.10 = STRING: "Swap space" + + [Test Case] + + Install snmp snmpd + Run snmpwalk: + snmpwalk -v2c -cpublic arcprsmt01 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3 +

[Bug 1843036] Re: [regression] SNMP missing disks in hrStorageTable
I also tested the test package, 5.7.3+dfsg-1.8ubuntu3.2+testpkg20190906b3, in a direct-mapped autofs environment that was the basis for the fix that caused this regression. The test package does fix the original autofs "mount everything" issue and allows for snmpwalk to monitor the mounted disks as well. I even tested it with a single autofs directory mounted and it worked with that as well. root@test1:~# df Filesystem 1K-blocksUsed Available Use% Mounted on udev 989468 0989468 0% /dev tmpfs 204136 672203464 1% /run /dev/vda1 10254592 3972248 5742084 41% / tmpfs1020664 0 1020664 0% /dev/shm tmpfs 5120 0 5120 0% /run/lock tmpfs1020664 0 1020664 0% /sys/fs/cgroup tmpfs 204132 0204132 0% /run/user/1000 root@test1:~# patch /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf < /var/tmp/snmpd.conf.patch patching file /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf root@test1:~# systemctl restart snmpd root@test1:~# snmpwalk -v2c -cpublic localhost 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3 iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.1 = STRING: "Physical memory" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.3 = STRING: "Virtual memory" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.6 = STRING: "Memory buffers" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.7 = STRING: "Cached memory" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.8 = STRING: "Shared memory" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.10 = STRING: "Swap space" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.31 = STRING: "/" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.37 = STRING: "/run" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.39 = STRING: "/dev/shm" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.40 = STRING: "/run/lock" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.41 = STRING: "/sys/fs/cgroup" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.63 = STRING: "/run/user/1000" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.63 = No more variables left in this MIB View (It is past the end of the MIB tree) root@test1:~# dpkg -l | grep snmpd ii snmpd 5.7.3+dfsg-1.8ubuntu3.2+testpkg20190906b3 amd64SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) agents ### WITH 1 AUTOFS DIRECTORY MOUNTED: /media/test100 ### root@test1:~# ls /media/test100 root@test1:~# snmpwalk -v2c -cpublic localhost 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3 iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.1 = STRING: "Physical memory" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.3 = STRING: "Virtual memory" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.6 = STRING: "Memory buffers" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.7 = STRING: "Cached memory" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.8 = STRING: "Shared memory" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.10 = STRING: "Swap space" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.31 = STRING: "/" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.37 = STRING: "/run" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.39 = STRING: "/dev/shm" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.40 = STRING: "/run/lock" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.41 = STRING: "/sys/fs/cgroup" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.63 = STRING: "/run/user/1000" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.162 = STRING: "/media/test100" iso.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.162 = No more variables left in this MIB View (It is past the end of the MIB tree) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1843036 Title: [regression] SNMP missing disks in hrStorageTable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/net-snmp/+bug/1843036/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1805256] Re: qemu-img hangs on high core count ARM system
Alright, I couldn't reproduce this yet, I'm running same test case in a 24 cores box and causing lots of context switches and CPU migrations in parallel (trying to exhaust the logic). Will let this running for sometime to check. Unfortunately this can be related QEMU AIO BH locking/primitives and cache coherency in the HW in question (which I got specs from: https://en.wikichip.org/wiki/hisilicon/kunpeng/hi1616): l1$ size8 MiB l1d$ size 4 MiB l1i$ size 4 MiB l2$ size32 MiB l3$ size64 MiB like for example when having 2 threads in different NUMA domains, or some other situation. I can't simulate the same since I have a SOC with: Cortex-A53 MPCore 24cores, L1 I/D=32KB/32KB L2 =256KB L3 =4MB and I'm not even close to L1/L2/L3 cache numbers from D06 =o). [Bug 1842757] Re: update-manager does not follow settings and fails to update packages on time
> We'll eventually add phased updates to APT too, but we're not there yet. I'm not sure it's a good idea to go out of your way to make it impossible for users to get the current version of a package by any means. The update-manager behavior is defensible, and even sensible; but there's enormous value to users still having the option to get an update through a different path if they need it. 2+ days, when a package that you need has been broken by a bad update, can be a very long time. I don't think tampering with APT that way as well is at all defensible, unless part of that work fixes the oversights in the original spec and allows users to override the behavior. For example, designating one machine as a canary at 0% into the phased update cycle, i.e. immediately; and the others as 80%+ into it. Anyway, the reason I'm here now is to confirm that update-manager just now offered the non-security updates from two days ago, so it's working as designed. (Although the communication of that behavior within the app itself could certainly be better: i.e. "not absolutely none"... :P) Forcing phased updates on APT itself though, in the absence of better controls, is a terrible idea.
