[Bug 1827961] Re: Lenovo dock MAC Address pass through doesn't work in Ubuntu
After booting into 5.3.0-26 on my Lenovo X390, it has started to loose network connection when connected to the Thunderbolt 3 Gen 2 dock after a while. No traffic goes through. [Bug 1861070] Re: Raspberry Pi 4B: USB OTG is not working
I tried "dtoverlay=dwc2,dr_mode=peripheral" and "dtoverlay=dwc2" with ubuntu-5.3 kernel, I could see "[18977.499410] usb 1-1.1: device descriptor read/64, error -110" sometimes too (not always happen), if I run "rmmod g_ether/g_cdc; modprobe g_ether/g_cdc" many times, it could work without those errors sometimes. So it looks like this issue has nothing to do with "dr_mode=pheripheral", maybe it has sth to do the power supplied to the board. I also tested the Raspbian, the kernel is "Linux raspberrypi 4.19.57-v7l+ #1244 SMP Thu Jul 4 18:48:07 BST 2019 armv7l GNU/Linux", the result is same as the ubuntu-5.3 kernel. And I used a single usb typec cable to connect the board and a usb hub, the usb hub connects to a laptop. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1861070 Title: Raspberry Pi 4B: USB OTG is not working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-raspi2/+bug/1861070/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1861391] Re: Full-screen window flickers once when switching to it
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected eoan ** Description changed: When using *some* applications (I observed it with Emacs and gnome- terminal) in full-screen mode, they flicker once shortly after switching to them with e.g. Alt-Tab. To reproduce it: 1. Open Emacs in full-screen mode and one other application (e.g. Chromium). 2. Switch to the other app with Alt-Tab. 3. Switch back to Emacs. Then I observe: 1. Emacs becomes visible. 2. After a fraction of a second, the Emacs windows is transparent for a very very short time (flicker). 3. Then, the windows is stable and usable. Usually, I do not observe this behaviour right from the start. I have to work with the computer for a couple of minutes to see it. I have been unable to find out whether a certain action triggers the problem. However, when it occurs, it does not go away again until the next restart of the X server. This is regression that I observe since Ubuntu 19.10. - Changes of the graphics driver does not change anything, however, - switching to Wayland solves the problem. + Changes of the graphics driver does not change anything, however, switching to Wayland solves the problem. + --- + ProblemType: Bug + ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu8.2 + Architecture: amd64 + CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 19.10 + InstallationDate: Installed on 2019-11-16 (75 days ago) + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 19.10 "Eoan Ermine" - Release amd64 (20191017) + Package: mutter 3.34.1+git20191107-1ubuntu1~19.10.1 + PackageArchitecture: amd64 + ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.3.0-29.31-generic 5.3.13 + Tags: eoan + Uname: Linux 5.3.0-29-generic x86_64 + UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) + UserGroups: adm cdrom dip docker lpadmin lxd plugdev sambashare sudo + _MarkForUpload: True ** Attachment added: "Dependencies.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1861391/+attachment/5324375/+files/Dependencies.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1861391 Title: Full-screen window flickers once when switching to it To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/1861391/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1861405] Re: Lubuntu 18.04.4 QA-test install; just stops (circling pointer)
Today I re-zsync'd & wrote new 18.04.4 ISO to media, checked it valid as usual, then attempted to re-install using same partition. This install was flawless.. Options used should have been identical (though partition data now reported as being 18.04.3 or data from last install instead of prior 19.04). I did install `arandr` prior to install as it's too hot and i didn't want to deal with the portrait monitor... but ignoring that. I'll mark this incomplete, due to today's completion. If I encounter an issue like this again (in ~60 days this report will ~live) I can always re-open... ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1861405 Title: Lubuntu 18.04.4 QA-test install; just stops (circling pointer) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1861405/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1861470] [NEW] BIOS logo reappears mid-boot after the purple screen
Public bug reported: BIOS logo (the ACPI BGRT graphic) reappears mid-boot after the purple screen. This seems to be happening reliably on multiple focal machines: 0. Turn on or reboot the machine. 1. See the BIOS logo. 2. See a blank purple screen (grub) 3. See the BIOS logo again (this bug) 4. See the purple screen with Ubuntu logo (plymouth) 5. See the login screen I believe this is related to ACPI BGRT changes in the kernel. And I guess it wouldn't even need fixing if we just eliminated the blank purple grub screen (step 2)... [Bug 1790496] Re: apparmor profile for gpsd
I can reproduce this by running: sudo gpsdctl add /dev/ttyUSB0 even without a /dev/ttyUSB0 device being present. We can then resolve the AppArmor denial by adding something like: /{,var/}run/gpsd.sock rw, to the AppArmor profile - so that this remains if the package provided profile gets replaced on a package upgrade, please try adding the above line to the file /etc/apparmor.d/local/usr.sbin.gpsd and then reload the AppArmor profile by running sudo apparmor_parser -r /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.gpsd And finally then see if you can add the device as expected. If this resolves the issue then I suggest this be added to the standard GPSD AppArmor profile via an SRU. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1790496 Title: apparmor profile for gpsd To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gpsd/+bug/1790496/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1861079] Re: Dell XPS 13 9380 - Screen and input freezes / hangs temporarily
Yeah it's not obvious but buggy gnome-shell extensions can still cause problems even when disabled. They need to be uninstalled. It sounds like that is working well so far... As for the CPU usage, that's not related to this bug so should be discussed elsewhere. I think that's a general problem with compositing software-rendered apps as GTK apps are. [Bug 1861363] Re: /etc/environment.d cannot be used to add to PATH
I've found out that `/etc/environment.d` is not intended for setting environment variables for login shells. From poettering at https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/12938: @dschepler is right. systemd-environment-d-generator gets run by systemd --user, and thus set environment variables for the systemd per- user service manager and their child processes only. Login shells (such as those started via getty on the console or ssh) are not children of systemd and hence the generators have no effect on them whatsoever. For login sessions use pam_env or some .profile script or similar to set env vars... Sorry. ** Bug watch added: github.com/systemd/systemd/issues #12938 https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/12938 ** Changed in: systemd (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1861363 Title: /etc/environment.d cannot be used to add to PATH To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1861363/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
