[Bug 1874842] Re: Fonts installed using msttfcorefonts package (ttf-mscorefonts-installer) are not detected by some sites

[Bug 1874104] Re: Very slow boot, wake from sleep and shutdown with 5.4 kernel
This bug is introduced between v5.2 and v5.3-rc1. Further bisecting means compiling kernel. Note that stable versions like 5.2.21 are generally not bisected. Could you report login bug as new one? Just like you reported this one. Perhaps via ubuntu-bug linux. It could be reported with working kernel. Then you can add dmesg later. It would help to know if it is possible to login using v5.6 https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v5.6/ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1874104 Title: Very slow boot, wake from sleep and shutdown with 5.4 kernel To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1874104/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1868551] Re: Intel GPU Hangs : random screen freezing w/ Ubuntu 20.04 (Linux 5.4) i915_active_acquire
I tested the kernel from comment 34 and my computer is no longer crashing. With this kernel, it is possible to use default Xubuntu, without changing Xorg session or xfwm4 vblank_mode. What I noticed is that there are 1330 dmesg errors like: [52999.965468] [drm:intel_pipe_update_end [i915]] *ERROR* Atomic update failure on pipe A (start=3180783 end=3180784) time 440 us, min 763, max 767, scanline start 748, end 769 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1868551 Title: Intel GPU Hangs : random screen freezing w/ Ubuntu 20.04 (Linux 5.4) i915_active_acquire To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1868551/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1875015] [NEW] Ubuntu 20.04 and Displaylink is extremely slow
Public bug reported: Using ubuntu 20.04 on displaylink docking with external monitor is totally slow, unusable. The GUI responds very slow, if you click, the command of the click goes on after about 3 seconds... if you type, all the letters are with the same lag, so it is totally unusable. Was using displaylink without any problem on 19.10 until yesterday, when I upgraded to 20.04. It is terrific. If i plug out the usb for the displaylink docking station, than the speed is back, and the system is ok, if I connect it to the docking station again, everything extremely slow again. [Bug 1605813] Re: lock screen freezes while trying to wake from suspend
I'm experiencing this again, now without AC power (I think that was a red herring). It seems to be if I: - Reboot - Close the lid (which suspends the machine) - Reopen the list I've also noticed that certain things still render. If I plug/unplug the AC adapter, I will continue to see "battery charging/discharging" notification popups. Additionally, I had a log file open on the screen in VS Code. I changed the contents of this file from ctrl-alt-f1 virtual console, then switched back to my graphical session, and the displayed text in VS Code updated! But I still could not interact with anything on-screen, beyond moving the mouse (no mouseover animations, nothing happens when clicking with touchpad or mouse, no keyboard response). Attached dmesg output - session suspend/wake is the last ~60 lines. ** Attachment added: "dmesg output" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lightdm/+bug/1605813/+attachment/5360248/+files/dmesg-session-frozen -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1605813 Title: lock screen freezes while trying to wake from suspend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lightdm/+bug/1605813/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1874623] Re: Mozilla Thunderbird package is not properly installed
I can only reproduce this bug unfortunately. It happened when I did a clean mininal install of Kubuntu on the 23rd. Not seeing Thunderbird in the menu, I tried "sudo apt install thunderbird", to be told that it was already installed. In fact, the following were all installed: "thunderbird thunderbird-locale-en thunderbird-locale-en-gb thunderbird- locale-en-us". Running "sudo apt install --reinstall thunderbird" fixed the missing menu entry. I've since downloaded via torrent another Kubuntu 20.04 ISO and tried it in VirtualBox. For me, choosing the minimal install option (whether I've clicked try Ubuntu first and loaded the desktop, or clicked try Ubuntu now) still leads to no Thunderbird entry in the menu. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1874623 Title: Mozilla Thunderbird package is not properly installed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunderbird/+bug/1874623/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I've just had exactly the same problem trying to make a fresh install from a bootable USB created with Ubuntu 18.04 Startup Disk Creator tool. I launched the installation again and it went ok.
