[Bug 1807056] Re: Occasional Keyboard freeze
On Ubuntu 20.04, I have similar problem. Actually, I met this problem since 19.10, however in 19.04, it was fine. My default GUI env is GNOME, and I switched to KDE recently but the problem still occur sometimes. This problem is a little bit different from other people in these aspects. 1. This problem not only happen in gnome-shell. it happens almost every where, especially when you type in a textbox. For example, in chrome and pycharm, I met the similar problem. Which indicates that this bug is a general problem. 2. When my keyboard is freezing, I cannot type in the TEXTBOX. however, other part of keyboard still work such as Capslock and Super(Meta) button etc. Simply speaking, when the keyboard is freezing, I can still push META button to present all windows, however I CANNOT type anything to input in the TEXTBOX. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1807056 Title: Occasional Keyboard freeze To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-shell/+bug/1807056/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Compared with a working touchpad, the only difference is the lack of ABS_PRESSURE events. If I use hid-rmi, these ABS_PRESSURE events would be generated. It seems ABS_PRESSURE events are needed to make the pointer move. If I could let hid_multitouch collect ABS_PRESSURE events, then the touchpad could work. So I'm curious if hid_multitouch also handle your touchpad device by default, could you run `sudo evtest` on the device to see what kinds of events could be generated? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1887190 Title: MSFT Touchpad not working on Lenovo Legion-5 15ARH05 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1887190/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1891158] Re: riscv64 build - hang at the end of the build with hanging "dbus-test-runner"
The problem is Ubuntu only, as [1] is good. And the real fix should be in dbus-test-runner, but without repro it will be unclear if anyone gets to that or if we just hope it resolves itslef (again). Hmm thanks Raphaël. So files were still around that were unowned, that really should not happen. Thanks for the exact file names. Implement the relevant workaround (display w/a #1143). Note that the relevant chicken bits live in a transcoder register even though the bits affect a specific DDI port rather than a specific transcoder. Hence we must pick the correct transcoder register instance based on the port rather than based on the cpu_transcoder. Also note that for completeness I included support for DDI A/E in the code even though we never have HDMI on those ports. v2: CFL needs the w/a as well (Rodrigo and Art) Cc: Rodrigo Vivi Cc: Art Runyan Signed-off-by: Ville Syrjälä Link: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/msgid/20180122174131.28046-1-ville.syrj...@linux.intel.com Reviewed-by: Rodrigo Vivi -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1871721 Title: Second Monitor on HDMI blank screen/blink screen with Nvidia + Intel & Ubuntu 20.04? The installer then exited??? no reboot message at all??? !!! -- I later worked out entering LIVE mode occurs b/c of error. In the Kubuntu installer, if you delete partition, then create the same EXT4 partition using the same space, it'll default to NO-FORMAT and thus re-use the prior partition. [Bug 1891313] Re: Xorg crash
At first I thought this might be boot failure bug 1872159. To test that, just try removing the 'splash' kernel parameter. But maybe that's not the problem... I can see another problem; that your Nvidia driver is not only an unsupported version, but it's also not installed properly. This seems to be resulting in the open source driver running the Nvidia GPU when it shouldn't. So this bug is invalid for now. Please uninstall the Nvidia driver you have and use the 'Additional Drivers' app to install the supported version 440. If you encounter any problems after that then please open new bugs for them. Also, if you find any evidence of crashes in /var/crash then please use the 'ubuntu-bug' command to turn those into new bugs. ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid ** Summary changed: - Xorg crash + [nvidia] Xorg crash ** Tags added: nvidia -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1891313 Title: [nvidia] Xorg crash To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1891313/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 1891361] Re: sshfs crashes entire Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS system
Hi Seth: Thanks for looking into this bug. Re unreliable w/o sshfs: No, 20.04.1 LTS is quite reliable; so far the only crash has been while using sshfs; when I'm not using sshfs, it works fine. Re unbootable: I don't think it has anything to do with grub; the sshfs crash mucks up the boot drive file system, so that I have to fsck it using another computer. But most of the time the boot drive is so mucked up, that fsck can't fix it enough to boot. I had a similar feeling: After seeing #LP1886811 fixed in upstream QEMU, "systemd-nspawn -b" started fine on some architectures and failed on others with self-compiled QEMU binaries. But failing architectures were not used in my job, I did not file a but report... By the way, QEMU 5.1.0 was released. https://download.qemu.org/qemu-5.1.0.tar.xz -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1890881 Title: qemu-user-static 1:5.0-5ubuntu4 in groovy does not start armhf container To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qemu/+bug/1890881/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1891361] [NEW] sshfs crashes entire Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS system
*** This bug is a security vulnerability *** You have been subscribed to a public security bug by Seth Arnold (seth-arnold): I just upgraded to Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS, and started to use sshfs to access some data files on a network drive, as I had done on many occasions with previous Ubuntu versions. However, within a few minutes of mounting a drive using sshfs, Ubuntu crashed, and left my boot drive unbootable. I set up Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS on another drive (taking 1/2 a day) and tried using sshfs again for my data files. Ubuntu crashed again within a few minutes, leaving my boot drive unbootable. So sshfs is apparently unusable on Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS, as it somehow destabilizes the Linux kernel. ***Note that this may be a FUSE bug, not just a sshfs bug.*** I can access my data utilizing Nautilus sftp:, but I'd rather mount the drive with sshfs. Please help. Thanks.
