Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Bug reporting is mostly about finding & fixing problems thus preventing future users from hitting the same bug. I suspect a Support site would be more appropriate, eg. https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu. You can also find help with your problem in the support forum of your local Ubuntu community http://loco.ubuntu.com/ or asking at https://askubuntu.com or https://ubuntuforums.org, or for more support options please look at https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/community-support/709 ** Package changed: xorg (Ubuntu) => xorg-server (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1918227 Title: No display after sleep To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1918227/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1918228] [NEW] Fix missing HDMI/DP audio on NVidia card after S3
Public bug reported: [Impact] NVidia DP/HDMI aduio disappears after S3. This is a regression introduced by LP: #1867704. [Fix] Update ELD properly so jack status is correctly reported. [Test] Perform S3 and open Sound Settings. With the fix applied, the DP/HDMI audio is always present after S3. [Where problems could occur] This series changes how ELD gets update. So if device depends on the original behavior, jack status could be wrong after this fix. ** Affects: hwe-next Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Fix Released ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu Focal) Importance: Medium Status: Confirmed ** Tags: oem-priority originate-from-1911121 stella ** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu Focal) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu Focal) Status: New => Confirmed ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu Focal) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Tags added: oem-priority originate-from-1911121 stella -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1918228 Title: Fix missing HDMI/DP audio on NVidia card after S3 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hwe-next/+bug/1918228/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1918189] Re: Can not share gnome-terminal in Google Meet under xwayland
Actually, it *may* work under Xwayland. I'm not sure. Either way, the answer is to configure Chrome to use PipeWire. PipeWire is the official means of screen recording/casting because Wayland by itself does not allow apps to spy on each other, by design. If you are having trouble getting PipeWire to work with Chrome then I suggest turning it into a Chromium bug because that is something we distribute in Ubuntu and can track bugs for. ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1918189 Title: Can not share gnome-terminal in Google Meet under xwayland To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1918189/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

It's worth noting that, as best I can understand, the patches won't fix an already broken filesystem. You have to remove all of the affected files, and it's difficult to know exactly what files are affected. I try to guess based on which show a ??? mark in "ls -la". But sometimes the "ls" hangs, etc. I've been running zfs-dkms 2.0.2-1ubuntu2 for 24 hours now and so far so good.. won't call it conclusive but hoping this has solved it. Though I am thoroughly confused as to what patch solved it, nothing *seems* relevant. Which is frustrating. Will try to update in a few days as to whether it definitely hasn't hit, most of the time I hit it in a day but wasn't strictly 100%. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1906476 Title: PANIC at zfs_znode.c:335:zfs_znode_sa_init() // VERIFY(0 == sa_handle_get_from_db(zfsvfs->z_os, db, zp, SA_HDL_SHARED, >z_sa_hdl)) failed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/zfs/+bug/1906476/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Under docker, however, this cannot be relied on and may simply be the command being run: $ docker run --rm --name "apache2-test" 26ff08910bcd ls -l /proc/1/exe lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 Feb 23 22:07 /proc/1/exe -> /usr/bin/ls This is seen as causing OCI build failures, with an error such as: ... Enabling site 000-default. update-rc.d: error: no runlevel symlinks to modify, aborting! dpkg: error processing package apache2 (--configure): installed apache2 package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1 Processing triggers for libc-bin (2.33-0ubuntu2) ... Errors were encountered while processing: apache2 ... [Proposed Fix] Another way to look for systemd is [ -d /run/systemd/system ], which may be worth having as a fallback to check if /proc/1 is not systemd. ** Affects: apache2 (Ubuntu) Importance: High Assignee: Bryce Harrington (bryce) Status: In Progress -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1918209 Title: Detection of systemd breaks building in docker To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apache2/+bug/1918209/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hi @vicamo, I virtually tried every method in this thread, notably methods 2 and 3 exposed in the summary, and also virtually every other method I could find on the web, including those ones: - https://mukaiguy.medium.com/adding-wifi-drivers-to-ubuntu-linux-for-dells-xps-15-9500-with-ax500-f535fb42db70 - https://askubuntu.com/questions/1280328/ubuntu-20-04-killer-ax500s-dbs-drivers-support (all answers) But with no success at all. My laptop is a XPS 9500 running on **Groovy**. In the end it never worked even if I had all the necessary and up-to- date firmware files in /lib/firmware/ath11k/, a 5.10+ kernel (custom or from the focal/hirsute repos), and an up-to-date BIOS. I've never had any line mentioning the Wifi card in the kernel logs. I'm quite desperate :) I must mention that it works on Windows so that's not a hardware issue. [Bug 1907422] Re: [MIR] needrestart + dependencies
I think that more extensive tests should be added in the next cycle, but for now I think at minimum basic functionality should be checked, for example just a simple autopkgtest like: $ sudo needrestart -q -r l (check for nothing currently needing restart) $ LIBC=$(realpath /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6) $ sudo cp "$LIBC" "${LIBC}.new" $ sudo mv -f "${LIBC}.new" "$LIBC" $ sudo needrestart -q -r l (check for things that need restart) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1907422 Title: [MIR] needrestart + dependencies To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libintl-perl/+bug/1907422/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

you can republish last working on in a ppa, and then have strict build- depends on version guarded one in the next ppa (with build-dep on the first ppa) to rebuild fixed one with last fixed toolchain. if there is one. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1915722 Title: rustc 1.50 and cargo 0.51 will be required by a future version of firefox To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cargo/+bug/1915722/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
