[Bug 1918723] Re: iwlwifi crash when running a software AC
Hi. I come with some news. I found a workaround that is not the best, but works. I have set up my AP to separate SSID for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. I do not experience and trouble in 5Ghz , except when running said game "Velocidrone". On the other hand, I experiment unstable 2,4Ghz wifi link (connection to AP (MAC:ID) lost) with my wireless mouse (with usb flash) , undoubtedly because of interference, no matter the channel. So I manually choose which band I want wether I want to play simulator, disconnecting the mouse, or simply surfing. If course it'd be better if I everything was working without I to be worried about it. [Bug 1919395] [NEW] Must not provide ifupdown on Ubuntu
Public bug reported: I am concerned about shipping ifupdown2 package in Ubuntu, with declaration that it can provide ifupdown. It is not a direct replaced of ifupdown in Ubuntu, as features present in Ubuntu's ifupdown are not implemented in ifupdown2 package. * allow-hotplug / auto / udev-rules for hotplug are not present * does not use dhclient -1 option * does not ship resolved integration Installing ifupdown2 thus will break system expectations, reintroduce previously fixed bugs, potentially leave people without networking if they are currently using ifupdown. Imho ifupdown2 package should be removed from the archive, or for at least Provides ifupdown should be dropped, until it gains bug fixes and features to be a viable ifupdown provider on Ubuntu. ** Affects: ifupdown2 (Ubuntu) Importance: High Status: New ** Tags: rls-hh-incoming -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1919395 Title: Must not provide ifupdown on Ubuntu To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ifupdown2/+bug/1919395/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1919308] Re: sometimes unable to play media like youtube
Just an FYI: I see no confirmation (impacting only a single user of a non-Ubuntu system). Linux Mint uses run-time adjustments (so they can use foreign (ubuntu) packages that are outside of their control), so this bug will be treated as low-value/unconfirmed until such time as it's been Confirmed, ideally on an adjustment-free system (ie. Ubuntu). I see no elimination of the Mint specific adjustments that impact especially what's appearing on screen, thus the bug could be those adjustments aren't compatible with the updated kernel and it's the adjustments used by Mint that need fixing. A second reporting using Ubuntu (thus adjustment free) would provide confirmation it's a kernel bug issue. Thank you for the videos (you've made it easier for other users to see if that fits their issue) thus improving chance of confirmation. [Bug 1908452] Re: MAAS stops working and deployment fails after `Loading ephemeral` step
fyi, we saw this recur even after switching to an HTTP images mirror. We were seeing deployments fail, and I found a regiond process was again hung in a system call reading a socket from images.maas.io:80. This is our production MAAS so I didn't spend a lot of time debugging it - I kill -9'd the process and MAAS respawned/recovered. Ok so thanks to your message, I have be able to dig into this a bit. By default I use hintslight (10-hinting-slight.conf is linked into my /etc/fonts/conf.d), but the font that bugs is Roboto, that has its own config file in /etc/fonts/conf.d, and it uses hintfull. So I've edited this file directly, and every other value stops the jittering for me (it does not stop some weird spacing though, for instance sometimes the "i" is to close one of its sibling). [Bug 1919380] [NEW] Bionic update: upstream stable patchset 2021-03-16
Public bug reported: SRU Justification Impact: The upstream process for stable tree updates is quite similar in scope to the Ubuntu SRU process, e.g., each patch has to demonstrably fix a bug, and each patch is vetted by upstream by originating either directly from a mainline/stable Linux tree or a minimally backported form of that patch. [Bug 1919370] [NEW] use picom instead of compton
Public bug reported: compton is dead and with the new rewrite/fork picom being packaged, we should seed this instead. [Bug 1919367] [NEW] compton recommends picom
Public bug reported: compton's been pretty much abandoned and as such someone took it upon themselves to fork/rewrite it and that is what has resulted in picom. picom is partially compatible with compton but it does not support all of its options. Since Recommends are installed by default, installing compton results in having two compositors (picom and compton) and since picom doesn't come with a default config all set up, it will use compton.conf and it will likely fail silently. This is just bad. If anything, picom should be a suggest, or just simply not mentioned at all. [Bug 1798071] Re: Suspension fails and re-login screen is black
Suspension is handled by the kernel, not by artwork (and it's buggy depending on the hardware). Similarly, my guess is that any graphical issues you had are related to the kernel modules, as well. Either way, it doesn't seem like this is going anywhere, so Incomplete it is. ** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** No longer affects: lubuntu-artwork ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1798071 Title: Suspension fails and re-login screen is black To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1798071/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
