[Bug 1933114] Re: [needs packaging] dvdstyler
With regard to Debian, the Request For Packaging process is described here: https://wiki.debian.org/RFP Please bear in mind, though, that nearly all packages are created by volunteers which need to take time out of their day to do these. Therefore, you're more likely to get an application packaged by putting in the work and learning how to do it yourself. There are people that can help you along the way, but again they'd be volunteering their time. So, if you really want this application packaged for inclusion in Debian and/or Ubuntu, I highly recommend putting in the time and learning how to do it yourself. When you do that, you'll find people are more willing to sponsor your work into the archives and perhaps even help maintain it. Bear in mind also that this bug report is not the place for that. You can find help for this process at https://packaging.ubuntu.com/ . -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1933114 Title: [needs packaging] dvdstyler To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dvdstyler/+bug/1933114/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1938364] [NEW] kernel oops
Public bug reported: I have been having repeated trouble on a Lenovo T440p, generally happening when the screen locks after timeout and I am then unable to get back into the machine with a frozen screen. This time around, it appeared that chrome started going insane with a load average of 25 on a 2 core machine. I tried to kill -9 the processes with no success. Other programs would run but the load averaged remained pinned at 25. In the log there is a kernel oops as well as the kernel claiming it is tainted without cause. pam@thinkpad3:~/bug/lockups$ lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS Release:18.04 pam@thinkpad3:~/bug/lockups$ apt-cache policy linux-image-4.15.0-151-generic linux-image-4.15.0-151-generic: Installed: 4.15.0-151.157 Candidate: 4.15.0-151.157 Version table: *** 4.15.0-151.157 500 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic-updates/main amd64 Packages 500 http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic-security/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 18.04 Package: linux-image-4.15.0-151-generic 4.15.0-151.157 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.15.0-151.157-generic 4.15.18 Uname: Linux 4.15.0-151-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.9-0ubuntu7.24 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USERPID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC0: pam1687 F pulseaudio /dev/snd/controlC1: pam1687 F pulseaudio CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Wed Jul 28 22:39:29 2021 HibernationDevice: RESUME=none InstallationDate: Installed on 2018-12-01 (970 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS "Bionic Beaver" - Release amd64 (20180725) MachineType: LENOVO 20AN006DUS ProcEnviron: TERM=xterm-256color PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR= LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcFB: 0 inteldrmfb ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-4.15.0-151-generic root=/dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-root ro vt.handoff=1 RelatedPackageVersions: linux-restricted-modules-4.15.0-151-generic N/A linux-backports-modules-4.15.0-151-generic N/A linux-firmware 1.173.20 SourcePackage: linux UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) dmi.bios.date: 04/20/2020 dmi.bios.vendor: LENOVO dmi.bios.version: GLETA1WW (2.55 ) dmi.board.asset.tag: Not Available dmi.board.name: 20AN006DUS dmi.board.vendor: LENOVO dmi.board.version: 0B98401 WIN dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Information dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: LENOVO dmi.chassis.version: Not Available dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnLENOVO:bvrGLETA1WW(2.55):bd04/20/2020:svnLENOVO:pn20AN006DUS:pvrThinkPadT440p:rvnLENOVO:rn20AN006DUS:rvr0B98401WIN:cvnLENOVO:ct10:cvrNotAvailable: dmi.product.family: ThinkPad T440p dmi.product.name: 20AN006DUS dmi.product.version: ThinkPad T440p dmi.sys.vendor: LENOVO ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug bionic ** Attachment added: "kernel log showing oops and going off the rails" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1938364/+attachment/5514457/+files/kern.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1938364 Title: kernel oops To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1938364/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1938144] Re: monitor_read: unpermitted request 48 on server while attempting GSSAPI key exchange
Hello Niklas, Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. While the symptoms experienced here seem similar to the ones reported in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1162620, the patch that fixed the latter is present in the version of the package for which you reported the issue. Therefore, would you mind providing additional information, such as configuration files? More importantly, we would be interested in a reproducer for the issue. Can you reproduce it without using ansible? Since there is not enough information in your report to begin triage or to differentiate between a local configuration problem and a bug in Ubuntu, I am marking this bug as "Incomplete". We would be grateful if you would: provide a more complete description of the problem, explain why you believe this is a bug in Ubuntu rather than a problem specific to your system, and then change the bug status back to "New". For local configuration issues, you can find assistance here: http://www.ubuntu.com/support/communit ** Bug watch added: Red Hat Bugzilla #1162620 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1162620 ** Changed in: openssh (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1938144 Title: monitor_read: unpermitted request 48 on server while attempting GSSAPI key exchange To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openssh/+bug/1938144/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. While the symptom is similar to the one observed in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-8.0/+bug/1899248, I see an additional error in your logs: MySQLConf.etc.mysql.my.cnf: Error: [Errno 40] Demasiados niveles de enlaces simblicos: '/etc/mysql/my.cnf' It seems the service needs a restart, but it cannot perform one due to a circular symlink for your configuration file at /etc/mysql/my.cnf. Could you confirm that this configuration file is an actual circular symbolic link? Would you mind providing more information on your configuration setup? Namely, it would be interesting to understand how that file turned out to become a circular symlink. Since it seems likely to me that this is a local configuration problem, rather than a bug in Ubuntu, I'm marking this bug as Incomplete. If indeed this is a local configuration problem, you can find pointers to get help for this sort of problem here: http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community Or if you believe that this is really a bug, then you may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem, explain why you believe this is a bug in Ubuntu rather than a problem specific to your system, and then change the bug status back to New. ** Changed in: mysql-8.0 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1938222 Title: package mysql-server-8.0 8.0.26-0ubuntu0.20.04.2 failed to install/upgrade: el subproceso instalado paquete mysql-server-8.0 script post-installation devolvió el código de salida de error 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-8.0/+bug/1938222/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1938013] Re: 4.15.0-151 is freezing various CPUs
I want to add that I too began having problems on my Lenovo T480 after I installed the 4.15.0-151 kernel. I have gone back to kernel 147 and that solved all the problems. My problems were similar to those reported above: the computer sometimes crashed on boot. When it did manage to boot the mouse was often frozen and other things as well did not function, such as volume control from the keyboard. Programs either did not run or malfunctioned when run. When I tried to shutdown, it would often just hang for an extended period of time and it was necessary to use the power button. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1938013 Title: 4.15.0-151 is freezing various CPUs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1938013/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
