[Bug 1874831] Re: libnginx-mod-nchan distributes old/incompatible module
I tried to use more of your docker config, but but either worked without a crash or didn't work (but because of the proxy/flask upstream_app being incompletely set up). Is there a way to trigger this without the app, or do we really need to deploy it (or something similar) to recreate this. BTW - since you are active (thanks) and have a reproducible way on your side at least and we can "explain" it with your container setup we can try to drive the SRU even with that if we fail to isolate better steps. But I'd with we get something similar for lua in bug 1893753 ... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1874831 Title: libnginx-mod-nchan distributes old/incompatible module To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nginx/+bug/1874831/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1950751] [NEW] docker.io 20.10.x does not create sub-directories in /var/lib/docker on start (but does on restart)
Public bug reported: Dear maintainers, I noticed a changed behaviour when starting the Docker service after the docker.io package was upgraded from 19.3.6 to 20.10.7. [Bug 1950720] [NEW] GSYNC bug regression in 495.44 Ubuntu 21.10
Public bug reported: Similar to bug https://launchpad.net/bugs/1950665, the GSYNC regression bug has returned in 495.44 on Ubuntu 21.10. I have tried the standard kernel and 5.14.1 and 5.14.17, but they are all experiencing the same bug again. Prior to upgrading to Ubuntu 21.10, I had upgraded to 495.44 on Ubuntu 21.04 and kernel 5.14.1, and this problem was not present. I then upgraded to Ubuntu 21.10, and the problem didn't seem to be present, but as of today I've noticed again. I'm not sure what the cause is, but I have tried full driver purge, returned to 470.82, went back to the standard kernel for 21.10 (5.13.0-21-generic), 5.14.1 and 5.14.17, and the problem continues to occur when any GPU accelerated application grabs focus of the screen. A second or so of no signal occurs as it re-syncs. I am unsure if X11 has been updated in this time, I know there was working GBM support, wondering if X11 has switched to using this instead of the EGL Streams direct approach that was used previously. Either-way, I'm still running X11. Let me know if there are any test you'd like me to try. ** Affects: nvidia-graphics-drivers-495 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1950720 Title: GSYNC bug regression in 495.44 Ubuntu 21.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-495/+bug/1950720/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1950706] [NEW] VMs running under qemu+kvm can't use xsaves processor feature
Public bug reported: Virtual machines running under qemu using KVM acceleration run with `-cpu host` can't use the xsaves feature of the processor. An example guest dmesg log is attached, see errors about "unchecked MSR access error". Using a `-cpu` model that doesn't advertise xsaves such as `EPYC` fixes the problem on the guest. The host cpu does support xsaves and Ubuntu doesn't seem to have any issues with it. The guest dmesg provided is running linux mainline 5.15, but the issue happens with every kernel version I've tried, including centos on 4.18.0. The host cpu is a Ryzen 5 3600 nested guests have trouble running in a guest with `-cpu host` or even `-cpu EPYC`. They tend to run, but freeze before they finish booting at random times. Not sure if it's related. Nested guests do seem to be able to run with `-cpu kvm64`. There are no dmesg errors when a nested guest freezes. [Bug 1929902] Re: [EHL] enable USB-dw3
Following Kent's comment #18, a few additional steps are required to complete the test, as described to me by Jacob Wu from Asus. The following steps are a more detailed "step 5" from previous comment, if you will: 1. Create a device image for partition, in this case 400MB memory space: [Command] $ sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/temp.img bs=1M count=400 [Return] 400+0 records in 400+0 records out 2. Format partition as FAT32 [Command] $ sudo mkdosfs -F 32 /temp.img [Return] mkfs.fat 4.1 (2017-01-24) 3. Load g_mass_storage for partition [Command] $ sudo modprobe g_mass_storage file=/temp.img stall=0 4. [Bug 1944094] Re: Can't adjust screen backlight on Legion Slim 7 / Legion 5 (2021) AMD
Update to my previous comment - I've extensively tested different configurations (mostly kernel parameters) on my Legion 5 15ach6. I did manage to get the brightness to change when using just the dedicated GPU (selected as such within the BIOS,) using the parameter nvidia.NVreg_RegistryDwords=EnableBrightnessControl=1 and this causes the nvidia gpu to show up in /sys/class/backlight/ alongside the amd one, but both of the /sys/class/backlight/*/brightness files do nothing. In hybrid mode and in integrated only mode (using optimus-manager to do it) acpi_backlight=video/vendor/native/none all do nothing, i tested each individually with amdgpu.backlight=1 and amdgpu.backlight=0, and did not get any hint of a way to control backlight, only the AMD iGPU showed up in /sys/class/backlight/, and changing the brightness value did nothing. Something else of note was that I noticed that when using just the dedicated NVIDIA card, xrandr showed DP-1 as the active montior, while when I was using the AMD iGPU, it was showing as eDP. Does anyone know if the MUX switch needs something from the kernel or nvidia driver to work properly? Is there any way for us to be able to check the position of the switch? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1944094 Title: Can't adjust screen backlight on Legion Slim 7 / Legion 5 (2021) AMD To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1944094/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1950691] Re: Mouse's cursor size is not applied after reboot
I'm getting again what I'd describe as strange/unexpected behavior on Fedora 35 (LXQt 0.17.1) Using 'tuxcursor' with a saved size of 30; on logout & login the XQt.Settings -> Keyboard.and.Mouse.settings window is returning to 21 on - hp 8200 elite sff (i5-2400, 8gb, nvidia quadro 600) however the cursor size appears to vary depending on the window I'm over.. It's smaller (21?) over LXQt but larger (30?) over GTK3 windows?. My Fedora & OpenSuse both use openbox & equiv. setups to Lubuntu (for comparison purposes) Switched (Fedora 35) to Breeze(light/snow) & size 32 & logout/login & on re-opening the window it shows size=21 which is closer to the size reflected. What I did notice; is some changes are not effective; I suspect the mouse pointer/cursor can be only specific changes despite single-digit changes; but my results varied exploring this. I believe this is a LXQt bug ; possibly https://github.com/lxqt/lxqt/issues/953 ** Bug watch added: github.com/lxqt/lxqt/issues #953 https://github.com/lxqt/lxqt/issues/953 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1950691 Title: Mouse's cursor size is not applied after reboot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxqt-config/+bug/1950691/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1950515] Re: WiFi Killer AX500s DBS stopped working in kernel 5.13.0-21-generic on Dell XPS 13 9310 and others
The 5.13.0-20 kernel works on this XPS 13 9310, but you may have to disable/ enable the device in BIOS (Connectivity -> WLAN and UEFI WiFi stack) before it appears again. Also possible that full power cycle does the job but haven't tried that yet. The exact sequence of steps required to reproduce this remains unknown to me but it looks like the failed attempt to load the device driver in the -21 kernel sends the system into a state that requires some BIOS activity. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1950515 Title: WiFi Killer AX500s DBS stopped working in kernel 5.13.0-21-generic on Dell XPS 13 9310 and others To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1950515/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1933758] Re: Display resolution not properly identifying in Ubuntu 21.04
Ubuntu switched to using the "full" KMS graphics stack in Hirsute (21.04). However, this means that the traditional means of forcing an HDMI mode (hdmi_group, and hdmi_mode in config.txt) no longer work. There's a couple of ways forward here, but first I should point out that I don't think this is a bug: your display isn't accurately communicating with either the graphics firmware, or the linux kernel: you were already having to force a video mode (and some timings) via config.txt settings because your display (or, more likely, your HDMI-VGA adapter) is probably advertising that it supports 1080p when it doesn't (or the adapter may support 1080p, but the attached monitor doesn't, yet the adapter still advertises that resolution in EDID anyway). As the graphics stack has changed with 21.04, the method of forcing display settings on it (at a lower level than the Gnome GUI) has also changed. I understand that's frustrating, but that is unfortunately the price of opening up the graphics stack. With that said, here's a couple of ways you could tackle this: Switch back to Fake KMS === The first is to switch back to the legacy "fake" KMS (aka fkms) implementation. You can edit config.txt and change the following line: dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d To: dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d This will use the legacy "fake" KMS implementation which should enable the hdmi_group, hdmi_mode, and other hdmi_* settings in config.txt to operate as they did before. However, be aware there will be other side effects from using fkms, e.g. choppy sound output and "tearing" during video playback, and that this won't be a supported configuration in future. Stick with Full KMS === Alternatively, you can stick with the "full" KMS implementation and try to find another mechanism of telling the kernel how to drive your monitor. [Bug 1944951] Re: KDE delayed display update / konsole artifacts
Thanks to the tests done by Michael it was easy to figure out the file in question. It's the file iris_dri.so from package libgl1-mesa-dri. Taken it from 21.0.3 and it worked. Don't know if it's safer just to replace this file or all Mesa libraries. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1944951 Title: KDE delayed display update / konsole artifacts To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kwin/+bug/1944951/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1950644] Re: ubuntu_ltp / finit_module02 fails on v4.15 and other kernels
The fix has landed on 5.4.156 and 4.14.253. They will likely land on our kernels coming from upstream stable. I will make sure to have them on the mailing list anyway, in case we want to carry those fixes for an easier test verification and don't end up applying those corresponding fixes. [Bug 1950350] Re: octavia LBs always offline in Xena
Ok, I was taking a deeper look at corey's output (where it shows LB is active) (comment #8) and wanted to try that "ovn" driver that appears on his output (not directly related to this problem, but anyway). Then I saw the documentation saying that if you deploy octavia with OVN you should get that automatically. You can see in my outputs that I did not have it, even using OVN. On deeper inspection, I noticed I was missing a relation from the example overlay. This relation is not automatically added by the FCE bundle builder, this one: - - octavia:ovsdb-cms - ovn-central:ovsdb-cms I'm not sure if this is new in Xena, or was already needed before (Wallaby? maybe even Ussuri?). When I added it manually, I did get the OVN driver to appear in the list. And to my surprise, my test loadbalancer (the one with octavia driver) went online!!! This makes it seem like this relation is more important than just the OVN driver itself. Can someone confirm what it is for? Anyway, I'm adding FCE to the affected components. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1950350 Title: octavia LBs always offline in Xena To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/octavia/+bug/1950350/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1950239] Re: creat09 from ubuntu_ltp_syscalls and cve-2018-13405 from ubuntu_ltp/cve failed with XFS
There is the in-disk inode structure that makes it complicated to backport the fix.
