[Bug 1952691] Re: starting mpv crashed my system after update
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It sounds like some part of the system has crashed. To help us find the cause of the crash please follow these steps: 1. Look in /var/crash for crash files and if found run: ubuntu-bug YOURFILE.crash Then tell us the ID of the newly-created bug. 2. If step 1 failed then look at https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/ID where ID is the content of file /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id on the machine. Do you find any links to recent problems on that page? If so then please send the links to us. 3. If step 2 also failed then apply the workaround from bug 994921, reboot, reproduce the crash, and retry step 1. Please take care to avoid attaching .crash files to bugs as we are unable to process them as file attachments. It would also be a security risk for yourself. ** Changed in: mpv (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1952691 Title: starting mpv crashed my system after update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mpv/+bug/1952691/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1951098] Re: When screen is locked app indicators are still usable
We don't need to track gnome-shell for this. I already know that at least in more recent versions of gnome-shell it unloads extensions when the screen is locked. When that change happened doesn't matter -- it's either Fix Released or not relevant here. The "not relevant" case would be if gnome-shell-extension-appindicator was failing to shutdown/unload when instructed. This means either: (a) This bug is still open in gnome-shell-extension-appindicator only; or (b) This bug was already fixed in newer versions of gnome-shell. ** No longer affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1951098 Title: When screen is locked app indicators are still usable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell-extension-appindicator/+bug/1951098/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1952674] Re: Kernel 5.13 fails to work with lots of hardware (HP Zbook)
I note that /dev/input/event7 to event26 are missing with kernel 5.13. The Thunderbolt dock Ethernet seems to be this device (missing with kernel 5.13). r8152 6-1.3.3:1.0 enx3c52821a24c3: renamed from eth0 I see what looks like the laptop's internal ethernet showing up though. I didn't think to move the Ethernet cable to that port to see if it would work. My external monitors (BenQ FP937s and Samsync SyncMaster) show up for both kernels. Interestingly, I don't see the internal panel showing up under either kernel? But it works with 5.11 and not with 5.13.
