[Bug 1960291] [NEW] 8.0.28-0ubuntu0.20.04.3 Breaks SSL Connectivity to MySQL < 5.7
Public bug reported: The MySQL client packages were automatically upgraded from `8.0.27-0ubuntu0.20.04.1` to `8.0.28-0ubuntu0.20.04.3`. ``` Start-Date: 2022-02-05 06:00:06 Commandline: /usr/bin/unattended-upgrade Upgrade: libmysqlclient-dev:amd64 (8.0.27-0ubuntu0.20.04.1, 8.0.28-0ubuntu0.20.04.3), libmysqlclient21:amd64 (8.0.27-0ubuntu0.20.04.1, 8.0.28-0ubuntu0.20.04.3) End-Date: 2022-02-05 06:00:08 ``` This broke the workaround that is currently in place as suggested by comment #36 and #37 on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-8.0/+bug/1872541 ``` The impact was significant (in my case), in that it prevented Postfix from processing mail, causing all sorts of grief. ``` Feb 8 06:32:35 mail.outbound.redacted.tld postfix/smtpd[1911139]: warning: connect to mysql server database.server.internal.tld: SSL connection error: error:1425F102:SSL routines:ssl_choose_client_version:unsupported protocol ``` I had to locate, download, and install the older packages from https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-security- proposed/+archive/ubuntu/ppa/+build/22330183 There is a plan to upgrade MySQL/AWS RDS to a newer version but this was an unexpected change for an LTS version of the OS. [Bug 1940545] Re: Update Mesa to mesa-21.1.7 on Ubuntu 20.04
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1956915 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1956915 Hi Timo, From https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/+bug/1956915, I understood that Mesa 21.2.6 is backported to ubuntu0.1~20.04.1 and that is currently under 'focal-proposed', when we can expect that to be part of 'focal-updates' ? I tried upgrading it with "sudo add-apt-repository ppa:savoury1/display && sudo apt upgrade" for now as mentioned in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/+bug/1956915. But the mesa package is not upgraded in my system. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1940545 Title: Update Mesa to mesa-21.1.7 on Ubuntu 20.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/+bug/1940545/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I can't see any crashes around the time before 12:50:17 but also if you're using LXQt then I wouldn't know what programs to look for... [Bug 1960094] Re: lxc/1:4.0.6-0ubuntu1~20.04.1 undefined symbol: strlcat in Focal
I think the strlcat thing is a red herring or an indication that the test environment is somehow in a bad shape. This could be explained if there was two versions of liblxc on the system for example. Outside of that, I'm also seeing: ``` lxc-start tmp.KEpxw2rh0e 20220205081512.354 ERRORutils - utils.c:__safe_mount_beneath_at:1106 - Function not implemented - Failed to open 30(full) ``` Which isn't a test issue but an actual failure. It could once again come from a bad test environment with mismatching library/binary somehow, but if the test environment isn't the issue, then you have a kernel regression on your hands as that's not one of those transient test failures. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1960094 Title: lxc/1:4.0.6-0ubuntu1~20.04.1 undefined symbol: strlcat in Focal To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1960094/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
