[Bug 1249219] Re: backlight control acpi_video0 instead intel_backlight

2013-12-03 Thread Тимофей
Christopher, i havn't this option and acpi_backlight=vendor no effect to this
problem. I try add this after second comment

Please run "apport-collect 1249219" in order to collect some useful logs.

I think adding the boot flag of "acpi_backlight=vendor" on your next
boot should make the values change in
/sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness.

[Bug 1249219] Re: backlight control acpi_video0 instead intel_backlight

2013-11-30 Thread Тимофей
I guarantee it does not depend on the kernel version. If install new kernel in
13.04 (for example 3.13), the bug does not appear.
I think in backlight control (in gnome-system-settings) can be added switcher
to video outputs
As Notebook screen and VGA, HDMI external output and other.
This fix, can avoid this problem.

[Bug 877560] Re: Audio codec draining power when not in use

2012-09-13 Thread Тимофей
** Description changed:

+ in 12.04 no draining power when not in use, but also shoes 100% usege.
+ in 12.10 this is bug works, also as down (but usage ~4W always)
+ (This problem is not ubuntu, but the kernel in general. I learned forums and
there is this problem a lot of people (including gentoo Andes archlinux). Most
of those who have HDA Intel, I suspect that you need to complain to them.)
+
With no sound playing, powertop reports "Audio codec hwC0D0: Conexant"
and "Audio codec hwC0D1: Conexant" drawing 1.64W of power each and being
used 100% of time both. All powertop suggestions have been followed.
