[Bug 961890] Re: Keyboard shortcuts - dash home does not minimize with ctrl-super-D

[Bug 1162152] Re: startup disk creator / formating usb drive not working
Retested on 13.10 beta, problem stil exists. On a side note... this app got even worse in 13.10, after formatting it with partition magic I can't use it to write a iso to any stick I have. This app has not been working for several ubuntu releases now. If its not important enough to have, than remove it from the distro. My suggestion is to remove this app and have unetbootin by default. With an on time only code change unetbooting can be as easy. [Bug 10905] Re: Keyboard shortcuts, window management - Can't use any global keyboard shortcuts or hotkeys when applet/menu is open
Strange enough in Xubuntu this problem does not occur with the date-time settings in the upper right corner, while it does occur with any of the other application indicators on Xubuntu. Omer, Xubuntu for example has this problem only partial. E.g. open firefox in ubuntu 12.04 Clicking on the time/data indicator in ubuntu 12.04 (upper right part of the window) opens an indicator. Now using ctrl-alt-D does NOT minimize firefox. Doing this same thing in xubuntu DOES minimize firefox. Hello 7Azimuth, Just retested this bugs following the steps you described on 12.04 with latest updates. 1. open the main menu. 2. Go to the section Applications. 3. Press the Tab key to move down, and then press Shift+Tab key to move up and see that the focus is lost when I move up. With the latest updates of 12.04 this scenario no longer gives problems because the 'shift' key tranfers the focus to the searchfield itself. I'm closing this bug with the status 'fix commited'.
