[Bug 1029289] Re: Need to authorize my google account each time I boot the computer

2014-09-02 Thread Aang
I have Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit (all updates as of this post). I can access
mail (Gmail) just fine, but when I switch to Calendar (Google Cal) or
Contacts (Google Contacts) in Evolution, I am asked for authorization.
Even after entering my password I'm revoked each time I try to access
the Calendar or Contacts. I have two-factor authentication on Google
account. Upon Ubuntu 14.04 initial release I had no issues accessing
Email, Calendar, or Contacts.

[Bug 1104476] Re: Network manager cannot connect to WPA2/PEAP/MSCHAPv2 network without CA_Certificate

2014-08-07 Thread Aang
My apologies for the typo, I meant without - so the corrected version:

Downloaded latest gnome-network-manager update from repository on Ubuntu
14.04 64bit - I am now able to connect without a CA Certificate :-) -
issue appears to be resolved on Ubuntu 14.04

Update:
I am being prompted for the WiFi password on the network without the CA
Certificate every time I power on the computer, but once I enter the password
it connects. This behavior only occurs on boot up; recovering from suspend has
no issues.

Once again, my apologies for the typo on post #179 :-\

[Bug 1082941] Re: Duplex printing in LibreOffice not working

2014-05-26 Thread Aang
I have Ubuntu 14.04 w/ Libreoffice 4.2.4.2 and an HP Office Jet Pro
8600. My File -- Printer Settings -- Properties indicate (and save)
the Duplex option, however, upon printing the duplex option is not being
respected. I have to print first to PDF, then with the PDF viewer print
in duplex :-(

[Bug 1104476] Re: Network manager cannot connect to WPA2/PEAP/MSCHAPv2 network without CA_Certificate

2014-05-02 Thread Aang
I can also confirm that workaround in comment #138 works as well. I'm
also on Ubuntu 14.04.

However, I am now prompted at login (of the OS) for the WiFi password on
the PEAP network, but hitting cancel, then logging in seems to work
fine. All other networks don't bother me with a pop-up at login.

Will this CA Certificate bug in Network Manager be fixed in 14.04, or is
14.10 the expection?

[Bug 956863] Re: Top panel shadow is drawn above presentation when using LibreOffice Impress with Presenter Console

2013-06-16 Thread Aang
I second bdrung's nomination!

Ideally, there's a way to specify different statuses for different
 releases/versions of the package,
 but I don't know if that's possible.

This is possible by nominating the bug for series. According to the
previous comments, this bug is fixed in Ubuntu 12.10, but not in Ubuntu
12.04 (precise). Therefore I nominated this bug for precise.

[Bug 989968] Re: Installer error: Unable to create '/root/cache/dconf'; dconf will not work properly.

I received this error whilst installing Zorin OS 6 Core 32-bit and
64-bit (two separate machines).

Suggestions above don't seem to fix it :(

[Bug 608806] Re: wrong version is packaged: 1.8 not 1.9

2010-07-25 Thread Aang
I am using Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid), and I downloaded chocolate-doom for
the Synaptic Package Manager, letting it include its dependencies of
course. I received the error above, and the solution I found was:

1. Download the 1.9 DOOM1.WAD file from here:
http://doom.wikia.com/wiki/DOOM1.WAD
2. Run the terminal command below:

sudo cp ~/Downloads/doom1.wad /usr/share/games/doom/doom1.wad

Result: Game starts up and doesn't crash :)

Hope this helps.
