2020-11-04 Thread Abhishek Ghosh Roy
Could not calculate the upgrade

An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade.

 This was likely caused by:
 * Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu
Please use the tool 'ppa-purge' from the ppa-purge
package to remove software from a Launchpad PPA and
try the upgrade again.

If none of this applies, then please report this bug using the command
'ubuntu-bug ubuntu-release-upgrader-core' in a terminal. If you want to
investigate this yourself the log files in '/var/log/dist-upgrade' will
contain details about the upgrade. Specifically, look at 'main.log' and
'apt.log'.

@You-Sheng Yang (vicamo) ,

I have taken a long time to reply , but I was thinking .

Sorry to say this , I won't be able to do this on my laptop .

The laptop is my personal laptop , & the work required to be done is too
complex .

For now, the touchpad works and hence I am OK with that status .

Reply if anything else . . .

[Bug 1887543] [NEW] Issuse with keyboard in asus vivobook s14

2020-07-14 Thread Abhishek Roy
Public bug reported:

My keyboard keys especially "5","R","E" and "F" stops working but after
restart it works fine. But it is very difficult to restart laptop while
in middle of the work. I have checked in answers relating to my problem
in ubuntu forums.

One of the solution which i have got was installing xserver-xorg-input .
I did so by sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-input-all. But still I am
facing the problem.

I also want to add that the keys which I have mentioned above is working
in grub menu and while log in the computer.

I'll be very grateful if you can help me in this regard.

** Affects: snapd (Ubuntu)

[Bug 1886257] Re: Touchpad detection issue in Fujitsu Lifebook UH554

2020-07-09 Thread Abhishek Shingade
@Kai-Heng Feng (kaihengfeng) , yes, after adding that line in sudo gedit
/etc/default/grub :

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash i8042.notimeout i8042.nomux"

Then updated, via :

sudo update-grub

Hence it works .

[Bug 1884438] Re: Audacity takes too much time to launch

2020-06-21 Thread Abhishek Deshpande
Ok.

While figuring out some solutions on my issue, I found a better solution - to
use audacity as snap..!
It worked just fine without any issue, and it's launch time is also less (only
about 4 sec. except initial launch).

Even though I will ask about this issue on forum.

Thank you for your support..!

[Bug 1884438] [NEW] Audacity takes too much time to launch

2020-06-21 Thread Abhishek Deshpande
Public bug reported:

Audacity takes too much time to start, about 9 to 10 seconds, which is unusual.
After opening via terminal it given many error messages. Even though sound
works well. Audacity records and playbacks correctly, just launches very late.
I tried reinstalling some packages, reinitializing and force reloading alsa
driver, but the problem was not solved.

OS : Ubuntu 20.04
Audacity Version : 2.3.3

I am pasting my terminal output as it is -

[Bug 1841018] Re: Unable to install Intel Latest Driver

2019-09-05 Thread ABHISHEK
Is there any video or something I can know what to do?
It's like I just know like...
Run the command in terminal and it magically fixes everything.
But don't know the ..txt file saving and doing other things...

Please let me know if there is any site or video where I can know how to
do that.

[Bug 220263]

2019-01-01 Thread Abhishek Madhu
(possible way to solve this issue?)

Sir,
One option might be to remove all dependency on system themes.
Firefox shouldn't care about the system themes. No dependence.

All text should be rendered:
1. like the .css developer wanted
or, 2. if he uses !important, render it simply black on white.

In a nutshell, default FF canvas(for everything, including input boxes) and
font should be white and black respectively.
We shouldn't inherit this from the system theme. Why should we? Do we really
need to?

Hope this would nullify @dbaron sir's requirements and make it easier to
implement this, sooner.

Thank You

[Please do not ban me if this does not help. Ping me and I'll remove it myself.
This is my first time coming out with ideas as stupid as this :)]

and volume >100% but it is very distorted and crackly. 18.10 was not
helpful and updating kerenel to 19 doesn't change anything.

[Bug 1788581] Re: Ubuntu shows blank screen after login

2018-08-24 Thread Abhishek
Thanks Joseph for taking the issue.
I didn't made any update.
As I've mentioned I had rectified no power supply problem, ICs were replaced.

Although as I ran 'fsck' to check filesystem errors, it reported 1 bad sector
on my linux partition.
Could this be the possible cause? Any suggestions!

Thank you
