[Bug 994105] Re: machine no longer wakes from sleep on 12.04
I had the same problem: in 11.10, I was using an MCE remote control to wake the machine from suspend, having added the line "echo USB0 >> /proc/acpi/wakeup" to /etc/rc.local. After upgrading to 12.04, this line no longer had any effect, although I could still manually enter "sudo sh -c 'echo USB0 >> /proc/acpi/wakeup'" at the terminal to activate wake from suspend. For anyone else with this issue, the thread at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1968487 gave a fix which worked for me; it involves editing the file /etc/udev/rules.d/90-keyboardwakeup.rules. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/994105 Title: machine no longer wakes from sleep on 12.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/994105/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 638307] Re: pm-utils Conflicts with laptop-mode-tools, so installing laptop-mode-tools breaks suspend
Same here. Installing and configuring LMT on my Eee PC 1005HA significantly improved battery life over the stock pm-utils. I was actually surprised it wasn't installed by default. Possible solutions: 1) Implement the battery-saving tricks of LMT in pm-utils. 2) Include the pm-utils suspend script in the LMT package. 3) Just don't mark them as conflicted: I have LMT installed with pm-utils 1.3.0, and haven't noticed any problems. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/638307 Title: pm-utils Conflicts with laptop-mode-tools, so installing laptop-mode- tools breaks suspend -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 638307] Re: Laptop-mode-tools breaks suspend
Until this is fixed, a workaround is to downgrade pm-utils to the version in Lucid: 1) uninstall pm-utils 2) install the Lucid version from http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid/all/pm-utils/download 3) install laptop-mode-tools as normal -- Laptop-mode-tools breaks suspend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/638307 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
