[Bug 1173349]
Finally! After 10 months devs fixed this annoying bug by adding four lines of code! [Bug 1173349]
(In reply to comment #96) This may only be a workaround and not address the actual bug, but I removed ~/.kde/share/config/plasm* while logged in through a console only. This resets all of the plasma settings back to the defaults. I reconfigured everything back to the way I had it and I have not had a crash since (3-4 weeks). It's a big pain but it's better than having plasma-desktop crash almost every time I get a notification or switch windows. Unfortunately that didn't helped me. I'm still getting crashes. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1173349 Title: plasma-desktop crashes repeatedly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/kdebase-workspace/+bug/1173349/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1191787] [NEW] kde-style-oxygen package (and it's dependences) doesn't support multilib
Public bug reported: i386 version of kde-style-oxygen is needed for Skype on amd64 systems with KDE installed. Without this Skype looks ugly. Unfortunately this package doesn't support multilib and it's impossible to install it in normal way (conflict with amd64 version). Editing deb package by moving oxygen.so file from /usr/lib/ do /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/ should do the job. I manually downloaded i386 version of kde-style-oxygen and it's dependences (about 10 libraries), extracted *.so files from packages and placed it in /usr/lib/i386 -linux-gnu/ folder. After doing this time-consuming hack Skype finally looks nice and uses oxygen style.
