[Bug 1310340] Re: live migration fails when use long hostname of a nova compute target host
Hi Melanie, just wondering why this change was abandoned? Unless I misunderstood, it seemed that the only objections to Patch Set 4 were regarding implementation details, not against the approach. Your way of guarding against accidentally using the wrong non-unique hypervisor host seems good to me, but maybe I'm missing something? Hi all, if this is fixed AND verified, when is it going to be released? [Bug 658017] Re: touchpad detected as ImPS/2 even though multi-touch works
Touchpad detection now works correctly since upgrading to 10.10 and was working perfectly with one of the earlier 10.10 kernels. However since upgrading to 2.6.35-22-generic, multi-touch scrolling is very erratic, and will suddenly jump up or down over a large chunk of the document mid-scrolling. -- touchpad detected as ImPS/2 even though multi-touch works https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/658017 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 658017] [NEW] touchpad detected as ImPS/2 even though multi-touch works
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics [This bug doesn't quite fit any of the cases described at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingTouchpadDetection - nevertheless I'll provide all the information that page suggests to gather.] On my Samsung N150+ netbook running fully patched Ubuntu 10.04, the touchpad is being detected as an ImPS/2 mouse. All normal functions work correctly: pointer movement, left/right click, scroll up/down using the right-hand edge of the pad ... even scroll up/down via two-finger multi-touch works! However there are NO signs in any of the debugging information gathered that a touchpad driver is active, and this correlates with the fact that there is no Touchpad Tab in SystemAdministrationMouse in the Main menu. Therefore the usability impact is that it is impossible to disable the touch-to-tap feature which is highly irritating because it's almost impossible to type for any length of time without accidentally triggering a tap on the touchpad. This can sometimes have really unfortunate consequences, e.g. accidentally initiating a transaction in an online banking application whilst the transaction form details are still incomplete/incorrect.
