[Bug 2062552] Re: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS Cloud Image ova error during deployment

2024-04-19 Thread Aditya Irawan
1. I was testing this on VMware ESXi, 7.0.3, 20842708 (that is ESXi 7 Update
3i).
3. Since you mentioned this, I did further investigation.
I had deployed Ubuntu 22.04 (Jammy Jellyfish) [20230302] successfully before,
and you're right, its ovf file contained the exact same serial port
configuration. But when I tried to deploy it again just now, it failed.
I suspect this has got to do with the Cloud Director, because the deployment
process has not reached vSphere yet. Also, between the last successful cloud
image deployment and now, we have not do any changes to the ESXi version, but
did an upgrade to the Cloud Director 10.4.2.22463311.
So I believe this has got nothing to do with cloud images as it worked before
and will try to raise an issue with VMware regarding this error.

Set media.rdd-process.enable to FALSE

2022-03-28 Thread Aditya Suseno
From the debug information, I suspect that the problem is on
/usr/lib/x86_64/dri/radeonsi_drv_video.so
My machine is AMD® Ryzen 5 5600g with integrated radeon graphics by the way

There was an update for Firefox 98.0.2
Haven't tried the apt version for the 98.0.2

Will tried that this night, hopefully the problem disappear on this new
update.

we boot the kernels using rEFInd, then they get booted easily. Also, I
am not able to even boot into an Impish Indri ISO. A discussion of this

[Bug 1947746] Re: [Snap] Ubuntu Firefox installed from snap cannot use Trezor U2F

2021-11-09 Thread Aditya Suseno
The solution from mcudev works for me.
I added this lines on 51-trezor.rules file and copied to /etc/udev/rules.d/
then restart my machine and voila it works!

Thanks mcudev and Olivier Tilloy!
You are the reasons I still using Firefox ️

2021-10-19 Thread Aditya Suseno
Thanks Olivier Tilloy for your quick response.

The Trezor works well. Even for the web wallet on https://wallet.trezor.io
Maybe because they use Trezor Bridge

It's just the U2F/FIDO2 functionality that doesn't works

Here is the `lsusb`

[Bug 1947746] [NEW] [Snap] Ubuntu Firefox installed from snap cannot use U2F

2021-10-19 Thread Aditya Suseno
Public bug reported:

Trezor U2F security key doesn't work with firefox snap after updating to
Ubuntu 21.10, but works with apt debian firefox package.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Insert Trezor U2F security key in USB port.
2) Launch `run snap firefox` (it is the default on Ubuntu 21.10)
3) Test https://demo.yubico.com/webauthn-technical/registration

It works well on Ubuntu 21.04 and on traditional apt debian
installation.

[Bug 1871797] Re: syntax error in desktop file

2021-08-14 Thread Bayu Aditya H.
So, when the fix applied to the release? This is more than 4 months
since the fix available.

I remember, maybe a month ago, I manually edit
"/usr/share/applications/screensavers/glitchpeg.desktop" to remove the
newline, but for some reason, the file is overwritten to the old one
that broken, probably during "apt upgrade".

$ ls --full-time /usr/share/applications/screensavers/glitchpeg.desktop

[Bug 1866974] Re: The Diffie-Hellman prime sent by the server is not acceptable

2020-04-03 Thread Aditya Mohana Sivaraj
I noticed this bug too. In my case it was Shibboleth. They may have to
work with Shibboleth to integrate their services, because right now
their website mentions support only for Suse and CentOS distros.

Temporarily your workaround can be edit /etc/hosts to add your ISP's
static IP and domain address. This worked for me.

Beside PCManFM, my Geany also has same error message.

Maybe this is something to do with mesa?

[Bug 1829620] Re: intel-microcode on ASUS makes kernel stuck during loading initramfs on bionic-updates, bionic-security

2019-05-31 Thread aditya lele
Hi,

I think the discussions already confirm this. Just wanted to reiterate:
I have ASUS-FX533FD Zenbook laptop with i7-8565U CPU. I also faced the
same problem as mentioned in the bug description. I can confirm that it
was fixed with "WORKAROUND 2: downgrade (and hold) intel-microcode to
older version from bionic/main".

Thanks for your help.

I don't think I would have explicitly select the OTF version---if it was
being used, it was being done behind the scenes. But I'm not seeing this
issue on 18.04.2. Feel free to close if it's otherwise justified.

2018-11-29 Thread aditya lele
Same problem with Asus Zenbook UX533FD.

Also, can someone please specify the windows shutdown method?
"i.e. go to shutdown on the windows start menu and hold shift while pressing
restart. A screen will appear where you can select to shutdown." This doesn't
work.

I am dual booting Win10 and Ubuntu 18.04.

[Bug 1351939] Re: Sending USSD message does not work

2018-07-21 Thread Bayu Aditya H.
Try this:

Before sending the request, transfer the modem port to "silent" mode.

   echo -en 'AT^CURC=0\r\n' > /dev/ttyUSBx

Where ttyUSBx is the port of the modem with which modemmanager
communicates.

[Bug 1241894] Re: Network History no longer works in System Monitor since 13.10

2018-01-25 Thread Aditya
Hi Robert, the problem was with linux kernel and it has been fixed in
kernel v3.14 and later. Since kernel v4.4 HWE is available for Ubuntu
14.04 LTS and all other supported Ubuntu versions come with kernel
v3.14+, the issue no longer persists.

As such I guess the bug should be marked as fixed. There is one caveat -
Ubuntu 12.04 ESM has kernel v3.13 HWE.

@Carter Braxton

Having the same problem with you. But now it's working. Thanks for the
tips. For those of you having the same problem with me and Carter
Braxton (low resolution in 4.4.0-109 kernel). You need to PURGE all
4.4.0-108 kernel image and the remaining HEADERS. Use command: sudo apt

[Bug 1689980] Re: AACRAID for power9 platform

2017-06-05 Thread raghava aditya renukunta
Hello Seth,
Yes the hardware is tested thoroughly on platforms other than Power 9 (was
tested on x86 etc). Could you please point us to the patches that might seem
concerning?

Also could you please point me to the kernel that these patches will be
added on? I want make sure that we did not miss any important patches.

Regards,
Raghava Aditya

The kernel source for Ubuntu-Zesty (17.04) has picked up almost all the

[Bug 1594740] Re: Supervisor not enabled or started in Ubuntu 16.04 after installation

2017-03-10 Thread Aditya
@Alex and everyone affected by the bug. Peter has given a very nice
detailed bug report with a known workaround.

Running the following once would ensure that supervisor always come up
after a reboot:

sudo systemctl enable supervisor

The above command is required to be run only once. So, get into a habit
of running this command whenever you install Ubuntu 16.04 until the bug
is fixed.

And, running the following command would bring supervisor up during the
current boot:

sudo systemctl start supervisor

Aditya

[Bug 1580605] Re: gnome-shell crashes often

Other than the OP is anyone else using ZFS? I am getting frequent GNOME
shell crashes on 16.10 and am also using ZFS. Normally I'd think it's
unrelated but since there's probably not that many of us using it I
noticed that the OP is also using it...

[Bug 1657976] [NEW] 'u' character is rendered smaller than it should

2017-01-19 Thread Aditya Bhargava
Public bug reported:

On Ubuntu GNOME 16.10 the 'u' character is rendered smaller than it
should (i.e. relative to the other characters). This seems to be the
case only for certain sizes (e.g. 10pt) and also goes away if the
scaling factor is increased above 1 (in the GNOME tweak tool). If I
download the TTFs and install them manually, there is no problem.

On closer inspection, it looks like all characters except for the 'u'
are displayed *too large,* rather than the 'u' being too small. Zoom in
on the picture and count the number of pixels for confirmation.

[Bug 1594740] Re: Supervisor not enabled or started in Ubuntu 16.04 after installation

2016-07-23 Thread Aditya
Please fix this regression. I just used Ubuntu 16.04, now that the first
point release is out, for one of my new projects and was immediately
impacted by this bug. Took almost an hour for me to figure out the
problem since I didn't have to configure this on earlier releases. More
people would become aware of this issue now since 16.04.1 is out.

In my case I hit this error message while doing completely unrelated
stuff. No terminal or Software window open. I was just doing other stuff
and I got the error message with the option to submit the bug report.

[Bug 1488426] Re: High CPU usage of kworker/ksoftirqd

2016-02-08 Thread Aditya
Yes, the issue seems to be fixed for me as well with kernal release
3.19.0-49-generic.

Would still upgrade to 14.04.4 once it releases this week.
