Dear elicoten,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open,
confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked
on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has
been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really
appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still
present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of
LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';

quite soon (5-15 min) ability to copy text breaks.

[Bug 344257]

2021-11-22 Thread Qa-admin-q
Dear Christopher M. Penalver,

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

[Bug 1833281]

2020-09-23 Thread admin
@lou +1

Sorry for my Google translate.

This bug is very many years old. This is *Bug 12309* !!! Why didn't anyone
remember?

I'm tired of him. Was in the early 2010s for 512 MB of RAM. Was in the early
2010s for 512 MB of RAM. and 2 GB of RAM. Mid 2010s with 4GB of RAM. And for
the past five years, 16 GB of RAM has not gone anywhere.

There is a funny article in Russian about this bug lurkmore.to/12309 with links
to the original bug reports and "problem solutions" in each new kernel.
"According to the anonymous author, this useful feature is LOVE AND CAREFULLY
into a fresh kernel."

Earlier I tried to rebuild kernels according to the advice on the Internet
(BFQ). Sometimes it helped a little. Some assemblies gave time to urgently
close programs. But the most effective was vm.swappiness = 90 and a script with
a notification when approaching this value to clean up memory (conky + dialog).

[Bug 1890406] [NEW] tmux sessions don't show up with who, users, ...

2020-08-05 Thread LTD Admin
Public bug reported:

Hallo!
I have recently - I am pretty sure it is since the 20.04 upgrade (coming from
18.04) - experienced the problem that (detached) tmux sessions don't show up
anymore in the output of commands such as `who -u` or `users`.
Since I have a cron job for shutting down hosts where no users are logged in,
I am constantly kicking out people now who have running jobs in detached tmux
sessions.
We would be very happy if this could be fixed.
Thanks!

** Affects: tmux (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

Err, I meant to type amd64 not arm64. Our arm64 installations do not use

If this can not be fixed before the final ISO, maybe it can be removed
from required to suggested for arm64? It is art only and does not affect
the ability to run the Lubuntu Desktop.

[Bug 1186702]

2020-04-20 Thread Qa-admin-q
Dear Jonathan Pasquier,

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

And the reason /boot is ZFS rather than ext2/3/4 is to be able to

I believe the answer is because the of ZFS filesystem, including /boot.
Grub can not read ZFS filesystems, my understanding that is in
development.

After removing the bind mount, copying the theme to the /boot/grub, re-
establishing the bind mount, copying the file rather than using a
symbolic link for the file, and then finally configuring grub to use the
theme... it is not that useful for ZFS installations. Unfortunately it
truncates menu options with important information for the for the ZFS
snapshot history, like date and time.

Maybe if the grub resolution is increased it would work better?

I should say the "new snapshots" are not available since having removed
the bind mount. Any snapshots previous to removing the bind mount remain
available, however any subsequent snapshots are not. Restoring the bind
mount and reinstalling grub will make the newer snapshots available.

As I mentioned, this is a root on ZFS installation but on a VM guest,
one that does not have UEFI enabled. My guess is the ZFS install makes a
single installation that works for both UEFI and BIOS. Options to modify
the ZFS layout are not currently available in the installer.

[Bug 1872978] Re: Install of lubuntu-grub-theme fails

2020-04-15 Thread System Admin
Having first failed by running as root: apt install lubuntu-desktop
--no-install-recommends --no-install-suggests

I rolled back via ZFS and tried to install just the failing package: apt
install lubuntu-grub-theme --no-install-recommends --no-install-suggests

I then downloaded this package and the previous 20.04.2 and attempted
the following:

apt install ./lubuntu-grub-theme_20.04.2_all.deb
 - and -
apt install ./lubuntu-grub-theme_20.04.3_all.deb

Both result in the same error.

[Bug 873287]

2019-12-19 Thread Qa-admin-q
Dear Christopher M. Penalver,

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';

[Bug 253670]

2019-12-03 Thread Qa-admin-q
Dear Christopher M. Penalver,

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';

Warm Regards,
QA Team
