I know cameramonitor behaviour it's far from perfect, but it's pretty

[Bug 290990] [NEW] [intrepid] Multimedia keys don't work if xfce-mcs-manager is not installed

I've used to use xfce4-panel with the xfce4-mixer applet in my Openbox

[Bug 284169] Re: With Tango, fallback GNOME icons are used in Places menu

2008-10-27 Thread Adolfo González Blázquez
Rebuilding tango-icon-theme and tangerine-icon-theme against intrepid's
icon-naming-utilities fixes this bug. The bookmarks on the places menu
look for an icon called inode-directory.svg, which was not present on
older icon naming- specs.

So, rolling a rebuild, without source or debian/ changes fix this.

I know mixing engines is not the best way to go, but in my opinion,
right now the tabs are not easily distinguishable, so that's why I think
the clearlook's colored-top-tab is a must in DarkRoom.

My dad thinks the same ;)

It happens while I'm in Preferences and I switch to hwmon monitoring,
although to be honest, I don't recall installing hwmon and I don't
believe it's pre-packaged with Ubuntu. It needs a kernel module doesn't it?

AFAIK, hwmon is included on ubuntu kernel. Could you please run this in
console tree /sys/class/hwmon and attach?

[Bug 211491] Re: subtitle file not loaded for files on smb share

2008-04-09 Thread Adolfo González Blázquez
In fact, If you wait around five minutes or so, the film starts playing with
the subtitles loaded correctly.
If no subtitles available, the film just loads in 2 seconds.

While totem seems to hang, it looks like it's cacheing the film, 'cause
there's too much network activity, so, maybe is this a cache loading
problem?

[Bug 183761] Re: reported to http://www.protonic.com getting error message installing computertemp

2008-01-20 Thread Adolfo González Blázquez
Hello,

If you read carefully the error message, you'll find out that the problem is
caused by package firehol.
Remove firehol (sudo apt-get remove firehol) and then do sudo apt-get update
 sudo apt-get install computertemp

That should make computertemo installable.

Right now you don't have firehol installed. That's the problem. Firehol
was not correctly installed (maybe a bug) so you can not install any
other package until the problem with firehol is fixed.

Easiest way to fix that is removing firehol, and try to install it
again.

Anyway, you don't have firehol installed.

And this should be marked as not a bug, at least not in computertemp
package.

[Bug 162863] Install ntfs-3g as setuid so the option 'users' works on fstab

2007-11-15 Thread Adolfo González Blázquez
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ntfs-3g

Please install ntfs-3g as setuid so the options 'users' and 'user' can
be used on /etc/fstab.

From the ntfs-3g man page:

If ntfs-3g is set setuid-root then non-root users will be also able
to mount block devices or via /etc/fstab if the ’user’ or ’users’
mount(8) option is specified. The ntfs-3g process drops the root
privilege after successful mount and runs unprivileged afterwards.

** Affects: ntfs-3g (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 152918] Re: Try to replace libcurl.so from audacious-plugins-extra

I can confirm this on 2007.10.15 update. There's no way to install
audacious-plugins and audacious-plugins-extra, because they bot provide
libcurl.so
This bus was introduced while fixing #123150
