[Bug 82511] Re: [regression, network-admin] looks for locations in root/.gnome2 instead of user/.gnome2 since update

2007-02-01 Thread Adriaan Peeters
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 67201 ***

Ok, it might be the same problem, but this bug is introduced in the
latest edgy-updates, it is different from the bug that was introduced
updating from dapper to edgy.

[Bug 82511] [regression, network-admin] looks for locations in root/.gnome2 instead of user/.gnome2 since update

2007-01-31 Thread Adriaan Peeters
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-system-tools

I am not 100% sure, but I believe this bug is introduced in gnome-
system-tools (2.15.5-0ubuntu5).

Now network-admin looks for locations in /root/.gnome2/network-admin-
locations/ instead of the current user's home: ~/.gnome2/network-admin-
locations/

No, it is no duplicate of bug #67201. This one occured (I believe) after
updating gnome-system-tools from edgy to edgy-updates.

[Bug 77777] tail -1 file works, tail -1 file* doesn't

2007-01-03 Thread Adriaan Peeters
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: coreutils

For example:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ tail -1 /var/log/messages*
tail: invalid option -- 1

[Bug 25975] Re: DMA timeouts on UDMA harddisks

2006-12-06 Thread Adriaan Peeters
I was able to 'fix' this issue by replacing the hard disk.

While I was doing some heavy I/O on the harddisk, the DMA timeout
occured and the filesystem crashed heavily! I decided to replace the
harddisk (7200 rpm instead of 4800) and I didn't observe the issue
anymore.

[Bug 74023] Re: Xorg does not start in dom0 with i810 driver

2006-12-01 Thread Adriaan Peeters
From the Redhat bug report:

Notice that the log emitted when started under Xen, the I810 driver reports
VESA VBE Total Mem: 320 kB, while the non-xen log reports VESA VBE Total Mem:
8000 kB.

I have:

Xen: VESA VBE Total Mem: 832 kB
Standard: VESA VBE Total Mem: 12288 kB

Apparently something fails while trying to tell the BIOS the amount of
available video ram:

Will attempt to tell the BIOS that there is 12288 kB VideoRAM
