This is also very import to me. It's very important if you have work spaces dedicated to different tasks. The extra running launcher icons showing in the launcher makes it harder to find what you want in the current work space. Clicking to get a new browser for that work space and getting dragged into another work space will drive you mad. These are some simple things that are impotent to me. Things that will drive me away from unity. I believe it would be best to have a option at least to have it function like the old gnome panels with the ability to keep things pinned. I think it would work like: Keep in launcher icons show on all the work spaces. Active windows in the current work space would be the only other icons show on the launcher. Anything running on the other work spaces should not be shown. Clicking on a browser on this work space should launch a browser on this work space irrespective if there is one already running on another work space. If fact I think the middle click should be reversed, middle click should see if the program has a window on another work space and take you to it. Left click should always launch a window on current work space, or bring to the front the current window. Its really annoying to get ripped out of your current work space into another.. if I wanted to go to another work space I would go there. Of course I've more then happy if this is a option, does not have to be default. But does really need to be there. for example Docky has this exact setup, though you do have to turn it on. I believe this is just showing a link to the drive in two places. On the launcher and on the desktop.. Yes this is now working pence the last patch(2.30.3). Only strange thing is not all files get thumbnails, but I believe that is a issue with nautilus and not with evince. I'm also getting this bug. Using 2.30.3 on Ubuntu 10.04 Evey CBZ I try to open says File type Zip archive (application/zip) is not supported (Close) Most CBZs worked fine before the last update (Unless they have [] in filename) now they all are bad. CBR still work fine. When I look at this file in nautilus is shows the thumbnail, but when I try to open the file in evince it crashes right away with no error message.. Here is one more.. this one does the same thing when trying to open.. But as a added bonus it does not show a thumbnail in nautilus. This happens on more then one computer both just updated to 10.04. And anther thought, this could be caused by a change in zip commpresser/decompresser that evince uses? maybe? Did that get updated/chaged with 10.04 too? I'm not to much of a programmer so I can fix it but I though I would help if I could. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince I just updated to Ubuntu 10.04, and with it comes with Evince 2.30.0, which is great. But if I create a CBZ file with a filename that has square brackets in it like [abc] 123.jpg No thumbnail is created for the file, and if I open it with evince it says The document contains only empty pages But if I go and rename the file without the brackets abc 123.jpg then recreate the CBZ everything seems fine. (thumbnails and viewing) I have also seen that it only takes ONE file with the brackets in the whole CBZ to cause the error. Sometimes if the first file is without brackets it will create a thumbnail. Ok I looked though the log and saw that I was timing out on more/diffrent servers.. So I added them to my hosts and I got it to work.
