[Bug 1129465] [NEW] Spelling/Formatting error in "add apt" dialog of software sources

2013-02-18 Thread Alden Davidson
Public bug reported:

Recently when I went to add a ppa, I used the Software Sources, and
clicked "add". In the dialog that popped up, I saw that there was an
error in the description of what to do within the dialog. The attached
screenshot shows the issue.

I think the line following 'b' is supposed to be bold, otherwise it's
just a spelling error. Either way, it's a little detail I noticed that
should probably be fixed at some point.

[Bug 1107059] Re: UbuntuOne "add new folder" dialog frozen

2013-01-27 Thread Alden Davidson
** Description changed:

Clicked on the UbuntuOne launcher in the Unity panel (dash?) on the
left, and then clicked on the "add folder" button at the bottom of the
  UbuntuOne window.

It opened the file-selection dialog, and looked fine, but the cancel and
open buttons didn't work (they don't even "light up" when a mouse moves
over them), and I couldn't choose any files or open any different
  folders.

The close and maximize buttons in the top left of the dialog "light up"
when a mouse moves over them, and I can press them, but the window
doesn't close; it will maximize, but doesn't scale correctly - see
  included screenshot.

I could close the main UbuntuOne control panel, by right-clicking the
launcher on the unity panel and clicking "quit", but the "add folder"
dialog stayed open. I cannot re-open the main UbuntuOne control panel,
since clicking on the launcher merely focuses on the "add folder"
  dialog.

+ Note: the info collected by apport says that my installation is

[Bug 1048792] Re: org.freedesktop.Dbus error while trying to erase USB key with Startup disk creator

2013-01-13 Thread Alden Davidson
Oh, and shortly after the first error, a second error pops up, even if you
already closed the startup disk creator:
"Sorry, the program "udisks-daemon" closed unexpectedly

Your computer does not have enough free memory to automatically analyze
the problem and send a report to the developers."

See attached screenshot.

2013-01-13 Thread Alden Davidson
This also affects Xubuntu 12.10.

After I close the error that pops up, it stops trying to erase the disk
if you mount it (I assume this is because you can't format mounted
storage devices).

[Bug 898870] Re: Grid placed window overlaps the adjacent viewport

2012-12-14 Thread Alden Davidson
Don't know if this changes anything, but I felt I should add that under Xubuntu
12.10 this bug also occurs -
the CompizConfig Settings Manager extends too far right when placed with Put
Left, and extends off the right side of the screen when placed with Put Right.

Photos of both bugs:

[Bug 990295] Re: Update Manager installing next os version (11.10) error

2012-04-28 Thread Alden Davidson
It appears that due to the fact that Zorin is modified from the original
Ubuntu ISO, I'm not supposed to update using any official ubuntu updates
(11.10, 12.04) that pop up in update manager, since it will cause
problems.
