[Bug 1063091] Re: Bamboo Connect (CTL-470k) not responding
After some additional testing it seems that the tablet works in a random manner (some reboots it does, most it doesn't but it doesn't seem to be related to it being plugged in USB on boot). When it works I get this xinput list result: ⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2[master pointer (3)] ⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointerid=4[slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ PIXART USB OPTICAL MOUSE id=9[slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPadid=12 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ Wacom Bamboo Connect Finger touch id=14 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ Wacom Bamboo Connect Finger pad id=15 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ Wacom Bamboo Connect Pen stylus id=16 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ Wacom Bamboo Connect Pen eraser id=17 [slave pointer (2)] and evdev on event14 works (note tho, I didn't get /dev/input/events for id > 14 for some reason) But it should've worked on the pen device because this is the touchless version of the tablet. When it doesn't work I get this xinput list result: ⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2[master pointer (3)] ⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointerid=4[slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ PIXART USB OPTICAL MOUSE id=10 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPadid=13 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ Wacom Bamboo Connect Finger touch id=9[slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ Wacom Bamboo Connect Finger pad id=15 [slave pointer (2)] while still not having event15 in /dev/input (9 us there) I think the touch devices are probably dummy and that's what causing the problems. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1063091 Title: Bamboo Connect (CTL-470k) not responding To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xf86-input-wacom/+bug/1063091/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1063091] [NEW] Bamboo Connect (CTL-470k) not responding
Public bug reported: My Bamboo Connect CTL-470 tabled (cable version) doesn't work in the latest 12.10 beta2. The kernel recognized it and creates two new input devices. I can see it also in the Xorg input list but not in the ubuntu settings/wacom. I can also see the device in Inkscape, however it cannot be used or turned on. The pen does light up the light on the tablet, but no mouse movement is registered from it.
