[Bug 1253528] [NEW] Desktop slideshow settings are forgotten (Desktop Settings, Slideshow)
Public bug reported: Plasma forgets settings made in the settings dialog with the title "Desktop Settings - Plasma Desktop Shell", accessed by right clicking on the KDE desktop background and choosing "Default Desktop Settings". In the View category, the Layout is set to "Default Desktop" and Wallpaper to "Slideshow". The settings I make in the Images section are applied (different wallpaper is shown), when clicking "Apply", but immediately forgotten and reverted when clicking OK (one of the system standard wallpapers is shown). The selections affected are "System wallpapers", "My downloaded wallpapers" and "Custom folders". Other settings, like "Change images every" setting seem to work properly. The same applies for Layout "Grouping Desktop", "Search and Launch", and probably all other layouts. [Bug 585842] Re: Unison reports false file changes and can't transfer files
Thanks for the response, Jerome! Your first guess was right, it seems the files have changed in an identical way. With the fastcheck false flag unison got this right and is working now as expected again. However I can not confirm the others. File system on both partitions is ext4, no vfat involved. Also no ID tagger or other program is accessing any of the file, otherwise I would have seen it in lsof, right? Since unison is able to handle this in a newer version I'd call this issue done. [Bug 585842] [NEW] Unison reports false file changes and can't transfer files
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unison I want to sync a large collection of music files to an external hard drive. In operation I get a strange behavior which _only_ occurs since the update to Lucid Lynx (and not on older versions). Though the two paths are identical, Unison suggests to sync from right (ext drive) to left (HD) for only two directories and their contents. Unison should not suggest to transfer anything. (1) When choosing to sync --> I get an error message for every file similar to this: The file .unison.07 - The Turning Point.mp3.e541ccee2d3ec03e843542d15cdfee49.unison.tmp was incorrectly transferred (fingerprint mismatch) (2) When choosing to sync <-- I get the error message for each file: Destination updated during synchronization For (1), I think I can exclude a hardware error of the external disk. I formatted the file system newly to ext4 after I got the error for the first time. fsck -fcpv doesn't report any errors. (2) is rather weird too, lsof | grep Alben (with Alben the synced directory) doesn't show any output. In fact, the two directories do not differ, md5sum shows the same checksum for every file. I am aware that this is not necessarliy an Unison issue, but I don't know how to investigate this further. uname -a: Linux ddd 2.6.32-22-generic #33-Ubuntu SMP Wed Apr 28 13:28:05 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux unison 2.27.57-2ubuntu2 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: unison 2.27.57-2ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-22.33-generic 2.6.32.11+drm33.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-22-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: amd64 Date: Wed May 26 15:14:27 2010 EcryptfsInUse: Yes InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 10.04 LTS "Lucid Lynx" - Release amd64 (20100427) SourcePackage: unison ** Affects: unison (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug lucid -- Unison reports false file changes and can't transfer files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/585842 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
