Hi Forall, This is one annoying bug! Just wondering how you installed the package from lenny into etch? I added the repository to my etch source.list and that generated 'merge' errors. I've downloaded the deb file itself from the url you gave, but when I went to install (with dpkg -i) it produced a lot of dependency errors. Am I meant to just keep download deb files and going through dependencies until they eventually resolve, or is there a better way? Have upgraded to ubuntu intrepid / xen 3.3 which seems to have fixed my problem. I can now updatedb without causing a segmentation fault - hurray. I also have this problem with a segmentation fault when the virtual server is under load. For example, just running updatedb caused the server to hang. I'm using Ubuntu Hardy / xen 3.2. Any suggestions?
