[Bug 1523088]
I've tried linux-next today (4.6.0-rc3-next-20160412) as I've read there are quite some intel driver changes there and this issue with freezing is gone. I can now log-in with monitor attached and everything still works. The message that we posted here still appears thus confirming what Matt said in comment 35 that it doesn't have a thing to do with our reported problems. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1523088 Title: WARN_ON(!wm_changed) warning and stacktrace in kernel log To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xorg-server/+bug/1523088/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1523088]
Happens also on a brand new XPS 15 9550 laptop. I tried also today's kernel git (with some drm fixes for i915). System is installed anew with Debian testing up-to-date, latest kernel code and intel video driver 2:2.99.917+git20160218-1. Symptoms: - system boots (lightdm) - laptop screen blinks like crazy, monitor picture is ok (Dell P2715Q, HDMI connection) - after logging-in everything freezes - I have to turn-off computer. What I do to make it work: - boot without HDMI plugged-in - after log-in, plug-in HDMI and then I have stable environment. This is the trace I found in syslog: [ cut here ] WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 77 at drivers/gpu/drm/i915/intel_pm.c:3553 skl_update_other_pipe_wm+0x133/0x140 [i915]() WARN_ON(!wm_changed) Modules linked in: ebtable_filter ebtables ip6table_filter ip6_tables iptable_filter ip_tables x_tables snd_hda_codec_hdmi dell_led snd_hda_codec_realtek snd_hda_codec_generic bbswitch(O) intel_rapl x86_pkg_temp_thermal intel_powerclamp coretemp kvm_intel kvm irqbypass crct10dif_pclmul crc32_pclmul ghash_clmulni_intel jitterentropy_rng joydev nls_utf8 dell_wmi nls_cp437 mxm_wmi drbg snd_hda_intel vfat ansi_cprng fat snd_hda_codec snd_hda_core aesni_intel efi_pstore snd_hwdep aes_x86_64 lrw gf128mul glue_helper ablk_helper dell_laptop dcdbas snd_pcm cryptd snd_timer evdev pcspkr snd efivars idma64 serio_raw i2c_i801 soundcore virt_dma brcmfmac brcmutil cfg80211 i915 intel_gtt i2c_algo_bit mei_me drm_kms_helper mei drm syscopyarea sysfillrect sysimgblt fb_sys_fops intel_lpss_pci processor_thermal_device shpchp intel_soc_dts_iosf battery hci_uart btbcm btintel int3403_thermal bluetooth dell_smo8800 wmi video rfkill intel_lpss_acpi intel_lpss int3400_thermal int3402_thermal tpm_tis int34 0x_thermal_zone acpi_thermal_rel ac acpi_pad tpm intel_hid button processor ecryptfs cbc sha256_ssse3 sha256_generic hmac encrypted_keys parport_pc ppdev lp parport efivarfs autofs4 ext4 crc16 mbcache jbd2 rtsx_pci_sdmmc mmc_core crc32c_intel psmouse ahci libahci xhci_pci libata rtsx_pci nvme xhci_hcd mfd_core scsi_mod usbcore usb_common fan thermal i2c_hid hid CPU: 1 PID: 77 Comm: kworker/u16:1 Tainted: G O4.5.0-rc5+ #3 Hardware name: Dell Inc. [Bug 238861] Re: CAC Card - Auto Select Doesn't Work
I have done some firefox bugzilla reading and here's what I found: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=395399 It's still unresolved. -- CAC Card - Auto Select Doesn't Work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/238861 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 238861] Re: CAC Card - Auto Select Doesn't Work
Yup, IE does exactly that! Choose once - use for the session. I needed that feature while testing numerous different certificates for our Tax Administration (e-Taxes). In Firefox this was non-doable. But now, I'm a multi certificate user myself (different e-banks, different certificates) and it's a real pain to do the choosing every time the validation is due. Come to think of it, the e-banking sites are made quite simple, asking you a couple of times, whilst at e-Taxes we validated the user for every element of the page (just to be paranoidly secure ;) ). I'm from Slovenia, BTW. -- CAC Card - Auto Select Doesn't Work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/238861 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 238861] Re: CAC Card - Auto Select Doesn't Work
I would like to join in this quest, because it's really annoying when it comes to this. Especially on sites which validate every move you make with a certificate. Is there perhaps a firefox add-in for this (e.g. proxy switcher)? -- CAC Card - Auto Select Doesn't Work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/238861 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 238861] Re: CAC Card - Auto Select Doesn't Work
We could annoy developers here ;) or we start developing (and before that learning how to do it). I haven't yet had the time to refresh content on mozilla forums. I once read (back in the 1.5 version times) there that it was kind of planned for the 3.0 series but apparently there are but a few users that have this problem so it is yet to be tackled with. -- CAC Card - Auto Select Doesn't Work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/238861 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 69079] Edgy, alternate install CD, keyboard not functioning properly
Public bug reported: It is the release CD but it happened with earlier milestone images. 1. boot from CD 2. choose install in text mode 3. I chose English language, then Slovenia and Slovenian keyboard (out of 5 options I chose only Slovenia but it happens the same with other options). 4. as soon as the name of the computer is required (default - ubuntu), no letters off the keyboard work. Only numbers and symbols. The procedure is without defects if I choose US keyboard (all default settings). I could reproduce it: - on an AMD64 machine (alternate amd64 install CD) with USB keyboard, - on a vmware machine (alternate 386 install CD) on a laptop. This worked properly on Dapper (both variants). ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Edgy, alternate install CD, keyboard not functioning properly https://launchpad.net/bugs/69079 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
