[Bug 1185662] Re: Creating a copy operation puts the system unusable until its done
The update didn't solve the problem, I think it is a IO scheduler bug in the kernel. The command returns only this: 2003 05/09/2013 To reproduce the problem is only needed to have 2 identical HDDs connected by SATA, one with the system installed and the other as backup of files and them copying the files from the backup to the system HDD. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1185662 Title: Creating a copy operation puts the system unusable until its done To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1185662/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1185662] Re: Creating a copy operation puts the system unusable until its done
The UI appears more responsive under 3.10-rc4 ( it is running on llvmpipe, fglrx was removed) but it is still too slow opening an app for example like firefox or system monitor takes more than 10 minutes. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Confirmed ** Tags added: kernel-bug-exists-upstream -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1185662 Title: Creating a copy operation puts the system unusable until its done To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1185662/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
