[Bug 1777412] [NEW] security group rule list only looks via IDs (but --help says names should work)

2018-06-18 Thread Alvaro Uría
Public bug reported:

On a trusty env, I tried to list security group rules by name, but it
failed.

https://pastebin.ubuntu.com/p/NRFfdYmf5s/

As a workaround, IDs can be searched and rules be listed by ID
1) openstack security group list | egrep name # double-check project id matches
the instance
2) openstack security group rule list

It would be useful to be able to look by name and return an error in
case of ambiguity (ie. two secgroups with the same name on different
tenants).

Furthermore, having a "--project " parameter would also be
useful in both "security group list" and "rule list".

Thank you
-Alvaro.

[Bug 1516451] Re: check_disk plugin broken after upgrade to 15.10

2018-04-13 Thread Alvaro Uría
This is also affecting a confined xenial LXC environment, and was fixed
by adding "--exclude-type=tracefs" on the check_all_disks command
definition at /etc/nagios-plugins/config/disk.cfg

monitoring-plugins-basic should be updated with the above.

[Bug 1662573] Re: bcache ioutil to 100% needs node reboot (no kern logs related)

2017-02-08 Thread Alvaro Uría
In reply to comment #2, we're using ksplice to patch the kernel, but we
haven't upgraded the ubuntu package, lately.

I'm afraid but this is a production node and I can't use it for testing.
In case it helps, this node hadn't had this issue before (62 days
running) and after yesterday's reboot, it has been behaving as expected
(~0% ioutil on bcache0).

[Bug 1573959] Re: On-screen text disappears after suspend

2017-01-20 Thread Alvaro Uría
This happens to me on 14.04 using linux-generic-lts-xenial.

$ lspci -nn | egrep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation 4th Gen Core
Processor Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:0416] (rev 06)

$ uname -a

2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Issue is not consistent, every time I suspend and resume, but happens
every week. Logging out from X session and back in solves the issue.

[Bug 1614654] Re: glance-simplestreams-sync fails to get deployed in Xenial (no "python2.7")

2016-08-23 Thread Alvaro Uría
Still had an error regarding "hypervisor_mapping" being used by
python-simplestreams (lp#1578622) at
/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/simplestreams/mirrors/glance.py (line 242) but
not initialized by
/usr/share/glance-simplestreams-sync/glance-simplestreams-sync.py (line 184):
"""
config = {'max_items': mirror_info['max'],
  'modify_hook': charm_conf['modify_hook_scripts'],
  'keep_items': False,
  'content_id': content_id,
  'cloud_name': charm_conf['cloud_name'],
  'item_filters': mirror_info['item_filters'],
  'hypervisor_mapping': False}
"""

By adding 'hypervisor_mapping', I was able to sync images from upstream
into glance.

[Bug 1599200] [NEW] Process hangs in Rs state

2016-07-05 Thread Alvaro Uría
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 3.13.0-86.130-generic 3.13.11-ckt39

PowerEdge R630 running Ubuntu Trusty with generic-trusty kernel.

nrpe process hangs in running state. SIGKILL does nothing.

See information below:

http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/18543867/

Any attempt to attach to process via gdb or strace hangs. Telnet against
port 5666 succeeds, although no change in state is seen on nrpe.

Please let me know if you need more details.

Kind regards,
-Alvaro.

[Bug 1564250] Re: Corosync upgrade to 2.3.3-1ubuntu2 leaves pacemaker in a stopped state

2016-04-20 Thread Alvaro Uría
Hi,

Upgrade corosync:amd64 (2.3.3-1ubuntu2, 2.3.3-1ubuntu3) also left
Pacemaker in stopped state on most of the LXCs (not all of them). This
affected all the environments after landscape update.

Solution required LXC reboots on a third of the affected units. In
others, service could be manually started.

Note about isssue: corosync was always running but pacemaker (sometimes)
stopped

[Bug 1564250] Re: Corosync upgrade to 2.3.3-1ubuntu2 leaves pacemaker in a stopped state

2016-03-31 Thread Alvaro Uría
All HA deploys on Trusty were affected (icehouse, kilo, liberty):

How to reproduce:
1) landscape-client triggers automatic apt-get upgrade
corosync:amd64 (2.3.3-1ubuntu1, 2.3.3-1ubuntu2)

2) corosync restarts but pacemaker remains stopped (corosync Invalid IPC
credentials)

3) on 2 deploys (icehouse and kilo), we could manually service corosync
stop && service corosync start && service pacemaker start

4) on other deploys (icehouse, kilo, liberty), we had to reboot lxc <--
and always came OK

It might be related to lp#1439649.

[Bug 1520316] [NEW] Corrected empty meta_data_t on collectd-python not pushed to Ubuntu package

2015-11-26 Thread Alvaro Uría
Public bug reported:

Name: collectd-core
Version: 5.4.0-3ubuntu2
Arch: amd64
Series: Trusty

Simple python plugin stores data in collectd's rrd files. However,
write_http plugin does not push such data (in JSON format) except if
"collectd.Values(meta={'0':True})" is set.

write_http does push data if Command format is used.

For more info, see:
https://github.com/collectd/collectd/issues/716

Issue was solved in Sept 2nd, 2014
(https://github.com/collectd/collectd/commit/0f4dc42a2a786763134d9661273608cfb2f52821),
but not pushed to collectd-core package in Trusty.

As said above, this issue can be hacked by adding """meta = {'0':
True}""" as collectd.Values attribute.

Please let me know if you'd need further detail.

Cheers,
-Alvaro.

[Bug 1474576] [NEW] Ekiga jumps over Asterisk's "if you are the leader, press 1"

2015-07-14 Thread Alvaro Uría
Public bug reported:

Package: ekiga
Version: 4.0.1-4
Ubuntu version: 14.04.2 LTS

When dialing an Asterisk's conference room number, "enter a code"
message is returned properly. Once code is entered and "#" key is
pressed, Asterisk jumps instantly to "waiting for the leader to join".

Expected behaviour, as it actually worked for other voip clients, is to
jump (after "#" is pressed and room code exists) to "if you are the
leader, press 1", and wait for a number of seconds before jumping to
"waiting for the leader to join".

Asterisk logs show proper path followed, including having played "if you
are the leader, press 1". But there is no real time for that message to
be played (in less than a second, "waiting for the leader to join" is
played).

Asterisk logs also show as "-- User entered nothing." when "1" was
expected in case of being the leader.

In sum, asterisk sees as if no digit was pressed before timeout, but
logs don't show any key pressed (so no real reason not to play the "if
you are the leader, press 1" message, which is actually seen on logs as
played). For some reason, Ekiga makes that step ("if you are the leader,
press 1") be run in less than a second.

Please let me know if I can provide more details on this.

Cheers,
-Alvaro.

[Bug 1461879] [NEW] Cannot recreate md1 if partitions (ie: md1p1, md1p2) detected

2015-06-04 Thread Alvaro Uría
Public bug reported:

distribution: trusty
package: partman-auto-raid
Version: 22ubuntu1
file: ./lib/partman/display.d/55initial_auto_raid_fs
function: fix_raid_fs
lines: 22-29

Hi,

On non-partitioned disks, partman-auto-raid worked perfectly fine for
me. Re-installing just after previous install worked fine, too.

However, if one of the created raids gets partitioned (ie: md1p1, md1p2)
and a re-install is run, partman-auto-raid fails with "Error: incorrect
directory for /dev/md1".

By wiping disks partitions out (ie: dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda ...),
under partman/early_command, RAID is not detected and partman-auto-raid
works again.

partman-auto-raid should automatically partition disks no matter their
previous state.

Please let me know if you would require further details.

Cheers,
-Alvaro.
