[Bug 839944] [NEW] when logging in the cursor does not show up in the password area. There is no indication you are in the pw area.

2011-09-02 Thread Amber Graner
Public bug reported:

I updated to the 11.10 beta and when went to log in and type my password
I expected that when I clicked in the password area that something such
as a cursor blinking or something would alert or indicate the area was
active and I could type my password. I just started typing it and it
showed up but it wasn't very intuitive. Can you add a blinking cursor or
something to the box when you click in it to let the user know that's
where their cursor is?

2010-03-25 Thread Amber Graner
@ David I did that - that's how I found out that this is effecting me
to. Rather than file a dup of this bug I said me too - I don't
understand why I need to file a separate bug?

[Bug 546957] [NEW] [Realtek ALC889A] ALSA test tone not correctly played back

2010-03-25 Thread Amber Graner
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 542550 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/542550

Public bug reported:

I am using a MacBook Air - running Lucid with all the latest and
greatest updates installed before I filed this. - The sound has not
worked on the MacBook Air with Lucid since I did a clean install during
Alpha 3.

I believe it is a dup of Bug #542550. However it was suggested by David
Henningsson that I should file a separate bug report with the proper
information - so here's the separate bug report. :-) I'll mark it as a
dup of #542550 and if it's really not sorry and could you all list it
however it needs to be? Please and Thank you!

[Bug 539609] [NEW] i915.powersave causes desk top to hang.

2010-03-16 Thread Amber Graner
Public bug reported:

After installing Lucid, Alpha 3, I noticed when I was using x-chat, gmail,
gwibber, empathy, or switching between chromium tabs - that I would be able to
move my mouse, but if I clicked on anything nothing happened. I could not
change desktops, applications nor could I reboot or shut down up my Dell M1330.
I would have to do a hard reboot in order for the mouse to work.

[Bug 537262] Re: sendsigs sometimes kills upstart jobs instead of adding them to OMITPIDS

2010-03-13 Thread Amber Graner
I got this icon that looks like the old notify-osd icon only it was
black with a white/gray exclamation point in the center of it. When I
held the mouse over it, it said, crash report detected so I clicked on
it. It ran apport then said the crash had already been reported and
brought this this bug report up.

This report showed up after I did an sudo apt-get up update and a
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade. I then rebooted my machine, and it was
only after I started the chat and Broadcast did I notice that the
icon was there.

I am not sure I even understand what this bug is about, but I hope this
information helps somehow? I am running Lucid and I run those 2
commands I listed above a couple times a day and I am using a Dell XPS
1330.

Thanks! :-)
