During upgrade, a message like

shoud've popped up and contains the actual culprit:
the newer version of squid comes with a pre-defined manager-ACL and the line

acl manager proto cache_object

from your /etc/squid3/squid3.conf conflicts with it.

Solution: comment out or remove the line.

[Bug 122110] firefox misparses listings from microsoft ftp service

Binary package hint: firefox

When using Firefox 1.5.0.12 (on Ubunti 6.06.1 LTS) to connect to a ftp
server running the Microsoft FTP Service, the year column is
misinterpreted in quite an embarassing way. Embarassing, as it looks
like firefox had an Y2K-issue of correctly using year strings.
