[Bug 976168] [NEW] GVFS mounted drives not visible in Chromium-browser File open dialog

2012-04-07 Thread Anders Runeson
Public bug reported:

When opening the File dialog in Chromium-browser (e.g. when attaching a file in
webmail) the shares mounted with GVFS is not shown on the left side of the file
dialog as with other Ubuntu applications.
I see this as a usability bug to not have easy access to GVFS mounted shares in
such common package as chromium-browser. Others might see this as a feature
request.

See also the discussion at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1460716.
The work around is to show hidden files in the file open dialog and then go to
.gvfs and enter the mounted share. This is not logical and extremely bad
usability.

This applies to Ubuntu 11.10, chromium-browser
18.0.1025.142~r129054-0ubuntu0.11.10.1

[Bug 875204] Re: Suspend does not work

2011-11-09 Thread Anders Runeson
After investigating /var/log/pm-suspend I found that my own killall
ssh script failed if no ssh connection was established. Somehow this
did not cause abort on previous release of Ubuntu (Natty) but started to
fail in Oneiric.

Set bug to invalid.

2011-11-09 Thread Anders Runeson
As Karmic is not available anymore I do not know how to regress
versions, Ive tried installing libcurl3 from Hardy but got dependency
problems with php5-curl (depending on phpapi-20060613+lfs).

Any ideas?

[Bug 675974] Re: NTLM authentication isnt tried in libcurl3

2011-11-09 Thread Anders Runeson
I noticed that when trying curl with a sharepoint site it works with
older versions of curl!

curl --version
curl 7.21.0 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) libcurl/7.21.0 OpenSSL/0.9.8o zlib/1.2.3.4
libidn/1.18
Protocols: dict file ftp ftps http https imap imaps ldap ldaps pop3 pop3s rtsp
smtp smtps telnet tftp
Features: GSS-Negotiate IDN IPv6 Largefile NTLM SSL libz

Here is the command I run when connecting to an exchange server:
curl --ntlm --verbose --show-error --user xxx
https://server.com/EWS/Services.wsdl /tmp/test

Here is the command I run when connecting to a sharepoint server:
curl --ntlm --verbose --show-error --user xxx
https://server.com/Lists/Kontakter/AllItems.aspx /tmp/test

The big differences I notice in the verbose outputs are:
For sharepoint:
Server: Microsoft-IIS/6.0
Content-Length: 1539

For exchange:
Server: Microsoft-IIS/7.0
Content-Length: 0
The string gss_init_sec_context() failed: : Credentials cache file
'/tmp/krb5cc_1000' not found is shown
The string WWW-Authenticate: Negotiate is shown

Also the returned WWW-Authenticate base64 encoded data differs, but
maybe the server name in someway is encoded.

[Bug 606652] Re: E:Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.

2011-02-13 Thread Anders Runeson
This problem also affected me, I thought my problem was that Ive used maverick
repos to install new versions of libboost, libv8 and some avr-packages but
apt-get remove them did not help.
'sudo apt-get remove xserver-xorg-video-nouveau' solved my problem.

[Bug 299330] Re: Alt+Tab - switching applications delay. slow

2009-07-13 Thread Anders Runeson
I have the same problem since upgrading to Ubuntu 9.04. The problem
apears when I have more then about 5-6 windows in the same workspace,
but not always.

Glxinfo reports:
direct rendering: Yes
server glx vendor string: Tungsten Graphics, Inc
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI Intel(R) G45/G43 GEM 20090326 2009Q1 RC2
x86/MMX/SSE2

I'm running Ludovico Cavedon patched mesa from here
https://edge.launchpad.net/~cavedon/+archive/ppa to get a virtual screen
size bigger then 2048, so I'm running dual screen.
