[Bug 247390] Re: Now Playing screenlet doesn't show cover art using lastfm plugin with Rhythmbox
Don't miss to take a peak at the duplicate bug #292777. It contains a fair amount of potentially useful information. [Bug 323755] Re: server-cert.pem expired: "Not After : Jan 27 08:54:13 2009 GMT" - ssl related test suites fails because of expired certificates
I would like to nominate this bug for a SRU in regards to Ubuntu 8.04, using the same patch which was applied to mysql-dfsg-5.0 in Ubuntu 9.04. This on the basis of FTBFS(Fails To Build From Source). Right now I'm working on a SRU proposal for bug #296952, and no matter what there will likely be other updates which has to be applied to MySQL during the Hardy lifespan. TEST CASE: Do a normal build of 5.0.51a-3ubuntu5.4 and it will fail, due to failed ssl tests. Applying this patch will make these tests pass fine. I have a hard time seeing any regression potential considering this only affects a test certificate used during build tests, which fails anyway. I'm attaching a debdiff addressed to hardy-proposed. ** Attachment added: "mysql-dfsg-5.0_5.0.51a-3ubuntu5.5.debdiff" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/26424795/mysql-dfsg-5.0_5.0.51a-3ubuntu5.5.debdiff -- server-cert.pem expired: "Not After : Jan 27 08:54:13 2009 GMT" - ssl related test suites fails because of expired certificates https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/323755 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 370445] Re: Postfix is dependancy for MySQL Server on server edition
Well, strictly speaking it is indirectly installed as a Recommends. Had it been a hard dependency you wouldn't have been able to remove postfix, without also having your mysql-server-5.1 removed. What happens is that mysql-server-5.1 recommends mailx, which depends on bsd-mailx, which in turn recommends postfix (or other MTA). This is a change compared to mysql-server-5.0 where mailx is only Suggested, hence not installed automatically. I agree that it's not really an expected behavior to have postfix installed when you actually doing an mysql-server install. That said I'm not entirely sure yet if this actually is a bug. Having a minimal MTA (such as send-only) can more or less be considered a must on a standard server. For now I'll mark this bug as Incomplete, and ask for feedback on it. ** Package changed: mysql-dfsg-5.0 (Ubuntu) => mysql-dfsg-5.1 (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: mysql-dfsg-5.1 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Summary changed: - Postfix is dependancy for MySQL Server on server edition + MySQL-server-5.1 indirectly installs postfix -- MySQL-server-5.1 indirectly installs postfix https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/370445 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Ok, taken a bit of a closer look at the logs now. Just figured out how to translate the error messages :) Can you post the result of the follow two commands ls -ld /var/lib/mysql/ ls -ld / (Actually it is primarily the first one I believe is irrelevant. But once we're at it, I did see something else in the logs which didn't seem right.) -- package mysql-server-5.1 5.1.31-1ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: sub-processo post-installation script retornou estado de sa?da de erro 1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/354585 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 367317] Re: unreliable Psi interface in Jaunty
I've had problems on both i386 and amd64. Haven't compared enough to actually say in what regards it matter. Anyhow, based on our combined experiences, as well as that upstream forum post I'd say we have enough information to mark this bug as confirmed. Will you do the honours? :) Wouldn't really be proper for me to confirm my own bug. ** Summary changed: - unreliable Psi interface in Jaunty + unreliable Psi interface in Jaunty (qt incompability?) ** Description changed: Binary package hint: psi Having installed Psi (0.12-2) in Jaunty I've experienced all kinds of strange behavior from it's interface. Usually it doesn't work to toggle View -> Show ___ contacts while being connected. Sometimes when I double click on name on the contact list, I receive a chat window to a totally separate person. When changing Options, and selecting different "areas" (Application, Chat, Events, etc) the "selection color" sometimes stick on the old selection. I haven't yet managed to find a pattern on when and when not these symptoms occur. All I can say for sure is that it happens often, but not all the time. Also, I've installed Psi (and Jaunty) on a few different computer, with the same result. + EDIT/UPDATE: This might be related to QT incompabilities + ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04 Package: psi 0.12-2ubuntu1 ProcEnviron: LANG=sv_SE.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: psi Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic x86_64 -- unreliable Psi interface in Jaunty (qt incompability?) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/367317 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 367157] Re: package squid 2.7.STABLE3-4.1ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade:
Yeah, those files might have helped :) Just not sure if the archive was gzip'd... Don't think this is a generic problem. I installed squid on a fresh 8.10, did a do-release-upgrade to Jaunty, and Squid was still working. Of course, that was with only the default configuration. Looking in your /var/log/dist-upgrade/term.log I see quite a few attempts to access the non-existent path /null. At one occasion it happens right next to your "subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1". Can you find anything in your squid configuration which would explain why the upgrade would want to access /null? -- package squid 2.7.STABLE3-4.1ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/367157 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
