[Bug 304024] [NEW] [needs-packaging] Word War vi

2008-12-01 Thread Andrew Min
Public bug reported:

Please consider packaging Word War vi.

"Word War vi is your basic side-scrolling shoot 'em up '80s style arcade
game. You pilot your "vi"per craft through core memory, rescuing lost
.swp files, avoiding OS defenses, and wiping out those memory hogging
emacs processes. When all the lost .swp files are rescued, head for the
socket which will take you to the next node in the cluster.

You might notice some similarity to Defender or Stargate, and perhaps
Scramble, or maybe Rescue Raiders, and if you liked those games, you're
apt to like this game. There are plenty of differences from those games
as well though, some might say it's really "neo-retro," rather than
purely retro.

It's licensed under the good old GPL v. 2.0, except for the audio files,
which are licensed under a couple different Creative Commons licenses
(see sounds/Attribution.txt)."

[Bug 296561] [NEW] When fast-user-switch-applet changes status, Pidgin's custom status message disappears

2008-11-10 Thread Andrew Min
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: fast-user-switch-applet

I love the fact that fast-user-switch-applet changes Pidgin's status as
well. However, if you change your fast-user-switch-applet status, it
will clear Pidgin's current status message. It's not a Pidgin bug, since
changing your Pidgin status from Available to Away will keep your
current message.

[Bug 297217] [NEW] weather applet should allow for searching by municipality/state

2008-11-12 Thread Andrew Min
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-applets

The weather applet for the Gnome panel is great, except that the nearest
city I could find was 27 miles away. I figured this could be a NOAA
problem, but when I looked up my home town, it found a closer location
(granted, still not close, but closer). So, my proposal is this: that
the Weather applet should allow you to search by city/state, autodetect
the closest weather station, and use that weather station.

[Bug 416138] [NEW] Ekiga can't connect to SIPphone.com

2009-08-19 Thread Andrew Min
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ekiga

I'm having a real issue setting up Ekiga with my SIPphone.com (Gizmo5)
account.

I set up Ekiga to use the following fields:

Name: onlineapps
Registrar: proxy01.sipphone.com (I also tried proxy01.sipphone.com:5060)
User: 1747*** (also tried onlineapps, my username)
Authentication User: 1747*** (also tried onlineapps, my username)
Password: blah (no, that's not my real password ;) )
Timeout: 3600
Enable Account:

Ekiga reports that my status is "Registered".

However, when I call "Echo test" (sip:5...@ekiga.net) or "Conference
room", it picks up for about a split second, then hangs up and reports
in the status bar, "Call completed". Ekiga also didn't detect an
incoming call.

Anyone have any idea what's wrong?
