[Bug 1303086] Re: Pointer Speed Missing in Unity Settings for Mouse & Trackpad

2014-08-11 Thread Andrew Riddlestone
I'm using Ubuntu Gnome 14.04 on a laptop, and until recently I didn't have
speed etc. for mouse or trackpad in settings.
I've just checked, and now I have trackpad speed, but still no mouse speed.

I use a Logitech M515 (wireless), which remains irritatingly slow, and
is unaffected by the trackpad speed setting.

Plugging in a wired mouse adds a new Pointer Speed setting in a new
control group called Mouse. Changing this speed setting affects both
mice. Unplugging the wired mouse hides the setting, but the wireless
mouse remains fast.

[Bug 880881] Re: Power indicator does not combine multiple battery status

2013-10-20 Thread Andrew Riddlestone
Just installed 13.10 on my laptop with two batteries (previously running
Gentoo). Got worried when battery seemed to be draining much faster than
Gentoo/Gnome, but realised it was basing it's calculations on a single
battery. It just went from "0%" to "98%" as the laptop switched between
batteries. Both were present in the dropdown, as in the initial bug
report. Any news?

[Bug 980729] Re: unity can no longer display netbeans window if netbeans is closed while minimized

2013-07-19 Thread Andrew Riddlestone
Came across this today.
Glad Rocko mentioned starting netbeans in gnome - having made sure I could see
it there, it now appears in unity again.
Any word on a fix for this? Installing gnome is quite a lot of bandwidth/disk
space/time/effort for restoring a window ;)

[Bug 641430] [NEW] Cube - Unfold has animation bug on multiple desktops

2010-09-17 Thread Andrew Riddlestone
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: compiz

Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS
compiz 1:0.8.4-0ubuntu15

Using Desktop Cube on two monitors (through an ATI Technologies Inc
RV730 [FirePro V5700]) initially causes the current view from each
screen to appear in the center of that screen, as below:

| 1a | | 1b |

unfolds to:

| 0a | 0b | 1a | | 1b | 2a | 2b |

However, moving left or right causes the layout to snap to the following
for the duration of the animation:

| 0b | 1a | 1b | | 1a | 1b | 2a |

Once the animation completes, the layout snaps back.

Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to get screenshots.

** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New
