[Bug 897156] Re: xul-ext-gdata-provider: Provider for Google Calendar is incompatibilite with Thunderbird 8
I didn't try the proposed patch, but I did try a different change in the install.rdf that does work. In the targetApplication/Thunderbird section, I changed minVersion from 8.0a1 to 8.0 and the extension was loaded the next time I started Thunderbird. ** Patch added: "Change minVersion for Thunderbird to 8.0 instead of 8.0a1" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lightning-extension/+bug/897156/+attachment/2612636/+files/install.rdf.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/897156 Title: xul-ext-gdata-provider: Provider for Google Calendar is incompatibilite with Thunderbird 8 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lightning-extension/+bug/897156/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 880347] Re: Not able to launch pidgin after upgrading to 11.10
I think that warning message is unrelated. I've seen that while launching other GTK applications. Can you try killing the Pidgin process (right click on the Unity launcher and choose Quit, or run a `killall pidgin`) then try restarting it again. I think this bug is a duplicate of 879950 and 879960. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/880347 Title: Not able to launch pidgin after upgrading to 11.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pidgin/+bug/880347/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 881770] [NEW] Screen brightness stops working using Fn keys. (HP G7-1070US laptop)
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 11.10 64-bit HP G7-1070US laptop. Changing the screen brightness was working when first installed, but something is happening that is causing it to stop responding to the Fn keys. Rebooting the machine will not get the brightness controls working again. This has happened in both Ubuntu and Ubuntu2d desktops. Seems to happen after placing the laptop in sleep mode, waking it on battery, and plugging it in shortly after that. [Bug 871882] [NEW] NSPlugin crashing Firefox 7 in a VNC session
Public bug reported: This only occurs when running in a vnc4server session. Problem is new with FIrefox 7 (7.0.1). Running normally on the desktop, it's not crashing. Steps to reproduce: Start new vnc server - ex: `vnc4server -geometry 1024x768` Connect to vnc. I am doing this remotely through an ssh tunnel. Run Firefox 7.0.1 with adobeflash-plugin installed. [Bug 483664] Re: When using Firefox via VNC connection, the decorators inside the Firefox window are missing.
It looks like this is a problem with the New Wave control set. I went to System > Preferences > Appearance, then Customize and choose a theme set for "Control" and the scroll bars and other missing buttons and form pieces return. It also appears that the "Black" control set displays the same issue. I use Compiz when using the computer locally. If I switch to Metacity locally, the New Wave controls display correctly. [Bug 483664] [NEW] When using Firefox via VNC connection, the decorators inside the Firefox window are missing.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-3.5 I am connecting to my home machine running Ubuntu 9.10 (with latest updates) from a Windows XP machine, using an SSH tunnel and VNC to view a desktop window. I am using vnc4server as the vnc server on my Ubuntu machine. With this setup, Firefox is failing to display form elements of webpages properly. The outlines of buttons, checkboxes, text input areas, and select boxes are not drawn. Also missing is the scroll bars, tab outlines, toolbar button outlines, toolbar separators, menu separators and outlines, and address bar "down" arrow in the main Firefox window. Using the machine locally, Firefox works fine. Also, Galeon 2.0.7 and Epiphany 2.28.0 are working correctly through the SSH/VNC setup.
