[Bug 560306] Re: [lucid] ATI hd5xxx cards wrongly doing kms?

2010-05-07 Thread Andy Webster
I've got a 5850 and noticed the same problem upon booting the 10.04 AMD64
install CD. I booted with two monitors connected via DVI ports and saw the
blank screen issue. I booted with a single HDMI connection and saw the same
blank screen issue. I booted with a single DVI connection and was X worked
fine for me. I was able to complete an install.
Hope that helps someone, if there is any more information I can provide I'd be
happy to do so if it will help.

thanks,
Andy

Re: [Bug 320142] Re: [needs-packaging] Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup (crawl) new upstream version (0.4.5) needs packaging

2009-05-25 Thread Andy Webster
hi Krzysztof,
great job! I just installed crawl-x11 from your repository. It works
great and I didn't notice any files created in my current directory when I
ran the program.
I'll try it on a couple more PCs in the next couple days & let you know
if I find any problems.
I didn't notice an icon on the application menu. Is there any chance you
could have your package create an icon on the Application->Games menu in
gnome?

thanks,
Andy
