[Bug 676279] Re: ALSA resources busy and creates problems for apps.
I really couldn't tell you to be honest. I know that /dev/audio is always busy and that things constantly freeze when they try to access audio when using ALSA. -- ALSA resources busy and creates problems for apps. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/676279 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 676284] [NEW] Games running really fast, manual throttling distorts sound
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: visualboyadvance VisualBoyAdvance is running at over %200 throttle when playing a game... This is due to audio throttling, so I try to manually adjust the throttle using VisualBoyAdvance.cfg in my home folder, and it slows it to the right speed, but distorts the sound horribly. Also, there does not seem to be a way to change the audio driver to something that works for me. [Bug 676279] [NEW] ALSA resources busy and creates problems for apps.
Public bug reported: Applications that use ALSA seem to freeze and/or have issues with throttle is they use audio throttling. Specifically emulators, Snes9x runs at 10% with the ALSA driver and throttling enabled, and VisualBoyAdvance notices the problem and runs at 200%, changing throttle manually to the correct speed distorts the sound horribly. Currently using Ubuntu 10.04, latest alsa package as of current.
