[Bug 1518370] [NEW] Bootp times takes longer

In Edubuntu 14.04.3  booting lasts extremely long (several minutes!). 
This may have to do with the support for mobile broadband modems
 (not for wifi, which is something entirely different).

So as per bug in260866 it takes a long time to reboot 
after pressing power button for restart .

Please help to check the possibility of OS 
or kernel optimization to reduce booting time.
