Hello,

I too am using Edgy Eft (Ubuntu 6.10) and have installed mplayer plus
the mozilla-mplayer package (versions 2.0.99 and 3.31-1 respectively).
Ubuntu 6.10 is shipped with Firefox 2.

With previous versions of Ubuntu mozilla-mplayer worked fine for me with
Firefox playing videos with mplayer correctly. However, as of 6.10
mozilla-mplayer appears to make no changes and Firefox uses the default
behavior, which in EFt's case is to launch Totem.
