Hello, I too am using Edgy Eft (Ubuntu 6.10) and have installed mplayer plus the mozilla-mplayer package (versions 2.0.99 and 3.31-1 respectively). Ubuntu 6.10 is shipped with Firefox 2.
With previous versions of Ubuntu mozilla-mplayer worked fine for me with Firefox playing videos with mplayer correctly. However, as of 6.10 mozilla-mplayer appears to make no changes and Firefox uses the default behavior, which in EFt's case is to launch Totem. Attached is the information you requested... ** Attachment added: "Mozilla's config for plug ins" http://librarian.launchpad.net/5093175/About%20Plug-ins -- Mplayer in Firefox https://launchpad.net/bugs/63690 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
