[Bug 1966658] [NEW] Firefox Snap does not use color theme in its address bar
Public bug reported: In Ubuntu 22.04 with the new color theme in Appearance setting, Firefox (snap version) does not use the color theme in its URL / Address bar. Google Chrome and the previous Deb package-based Firefox is using the color theme (IIRC, was just brief moment before it got replaced by transition package). ** Affects: xdg-desktop-portal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1966658 Title: Firefox Snap does not use color theme in its address bar To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xdg-desktop-portal/+bug/1966658/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 67033] Re: Problem with partly hided drop down window
Steps to reproduce: 1. Go to http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=GOOG 2. Click on the charts displayed in the page. (Or click on the Try our new charts link). It should take us to the chart page. 3. On the flash-based charting page, click on the button Technical Indicators above the charts. It would show only part of the technical indicators available. Note: I think this bug may be related more to adobe flash plugin issues in Linux than to firefox itself. I know that the page displayed just fine in Firefox in Windows and Mac. With the same adobe flash plugin version 9. -- Problem with partly hided drop down window https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/67033 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 43589] Re: [totem-gstreamer] wont play vcd for unknown reason
Hi all, I'm having the same problem also in Debian (sid/unstable) here in my IBM Thinkpad T43. I thought it was a kernel issue, since it happened sometime after I upgrade to a certain kernel version (sorry, can't remember the exact version, about 1 year ago). After searching for more details last weekend, I found out that this may be a GNOME issue. Not really sure 'though. But I do able to make VCD play again by doing this before playing: /etc/init.d/dbus stop To play the VCD in totem (-xine) run this: totem vcd:// (since without dbus, totem seems to failed to get the Play button to work, so we need to tell totem directly) To play with xine or gxine is the same (xine vcd:// or gxine vcd://) but (g)xine has VCD selection from the menu, so you should be able to start it directly without any parameter. I think this info should answer Question #1624, too. Now, it'd be really great if someone could just fix this issue correctly :-) Although I haven't found out why we cannot copy .dat files directly from file browser (nautilus) and VCD seems to always failed automounted in my machine here. Things use to worked just fine long time ago. ** Tags added: dbus gnome totem-xine vcd -- [totem-gstreamer] wont play vcd for unknown reason https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/43589 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 92852] Re: Ubuntu Feisty Fawn (Herd 5) failed to Install
Dear Colin. I'm sorry for I will not be able to give quick responses this time. My friend went to his overseas home for about a week. He should be back around March 27 or 28. I promise I'll get back on this matter as soon as I can met him again. All the best. -arief On 3/19/07, Colin Watson [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I cannot address your X problem; please file a separate bug for that on the appropriate packages. (In general, filing multiple problems in a single report makes it harder for us to track and address them.) It sounds like there isn't really an installer problem here, but that the whole system is just being incredibly slow at reading from CD. It would help if you could get us 'lspci -vvv', 'lspci -n', and 'dmesg' output from this system; OpenSuSE should do OK for that. ** Changed in: linux-source-2.6.20 (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: ubiquity = linux-source-2.6.20 ** Summary changed: - Ubuntu Feisty Fawn (Herd 5) failed to Install + [herd-5] horribly slow at reading from CD -- [herd-5] horribly slow at reading from CD https://launchpad.net/bugs/92852 -- [herd-5] horribly slow at reading from CD https://launchpad.net/bugs/92852 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
Re: [Bug 92852] Re: Ubuntu Feisty Fawn (Herd 5) failed to Install
Dear Henrik, Uhmm, repeat the install process? I'd love to help out, I really do. But unless you could tell me how to persuade my friend (that is now satisfied with openSuSE) to run thru the whole nightmare again, I don't think I could help you this time. I'm sure you have plenty of test devices there, could you atleast run the tests there? I believe I've given out all the necessary info. Please think of some clever things to reproduce the bug on your own. All the best. -arief On 3/17/07, Henrik Nilsen Omma [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hello. [Bug 92852] Ubuntu Feisty Fawn (Herd 5) failed to Install
Public bug reported: Dear Ubuntu. I was trying to help a friend to install Feisty Fawn (herd 5) and successfully failed to do so in a Thinkpad T23 with 256MB of Memory. With harddisk configuration like this: 1. /dev/hda1 for WinXP 2. /dev/hda2 for FAT32 Data partition 3. /dev/hda3 for Windows Server 2003 4. /dev/hda4 - extended partition with 2 logical partitions each for linux's root and swap mountpoints. The problems (I think) are: 1. When using normal boot X failed to start up (The card was an old SiS card, there should not be a problem here) 2. Booting using safe-mode graphic succeeded, but there are at least 2 problem here: a. Live CD took almost forever to load (well it's like 15 minutes or so...) b. the installation procedure has never been able to complete the Partitioning disk stage. There are at least 2 problem here also: - First is when feisty's going to partitioning the system, a dialog of Scanning disk... appear, but took about 15-20 minutes for it to finished and show us the partition editing menus. - When we finishes partitioning, and try to apply the changes, the not- so-cute Scanning disk... dialog is re-appearing and this time, after more than 20 minutes of waiting, we get sucked up and decided to reboot. At this point, My friend got __very__ much disappointed by Ubuntu, and he went to try to install open SUSE 10.2 and manage to finish the installation without any errors and be impressed with it instead. Me, on the other hand, being the guy who promote Ubuntu (and Linux) to him, is feeling very ashamed of Ubuntu. I __strongly__ suggest that you do NOT release Feisty Fawn if it is still in the same shape as what Herd 5 CD is. And please, put back direct installation from CD capability. And oh ya, one more thing, please take us, the lucky people in this part of the earth who still need to use low-powered computers, into account on your mind next time you want to realease a Linux for human being distribution. I wish you all the best. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed ** Description changed: Dear Ubuntu. - I've trying to help a friend to install Feisty Fawn (herd 5) and + I was trying to help a friend to install Feisty Fawn (herd 5) and successfully failed to do so in a Thinkpad T23 with 256MB of Memory.
