Created attachment 92288 bug f23ab963c4f4ada2051588dfc85264aa2798dbf7 + that patch and I'm seeing corruption. Using google-chrome and letters in url bar or window title bar sometimes get corrupted and then get fixed. Also seeing the problem in gimp menus.
