[Bug 262309] Re: kgrubeditor MIR
Automagic support is being worked on, but here are my two cents: the Automagic and update-grub framework is really inflexible. I mean, you can't properly edit/remove an automagic entry or else a warning message with an ackward default action will pop up, confusing most new users. I will add proper support for Automagic in kgrubeditor (plus support for the uuid command), but in my opinion, something should really be done about this issue. Btw, uuid and quiet are no standard GRUB commands. Does Kubuntu use a modified version? If so, is there any documentation for this commands? Plus, I would appreciate Automagic documentation other than that in menu.lst (comments). -- kgrubeditor MIR https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/262309 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kgrubeditor in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 287853] Re: Grub-editor settings are overridden by upgrade
This bug is the same as https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub/+bug/238339 with the only difference that it is specific to KGRUBEditor. As I see it, since we are stuck with this really "smart" framework, Automagic should not be touched at all...Only reserved as is. This is really frustrating because there was an initiative to provide full Automagic support through KGRUBEditor. [Bug 262269] Re: General improvements to KGrubEditor
IMO Options > Color should not always display a preview, since the use of colors is optional and the preview is just used to see how the menu would look like with colors. Normal is the minimum required to use colors. That means, if it is not selected colors will not be used. If selected, colors are in use. Btw, splash image overrides colors.
