[Bug 1856366] Re: PCI/internal sound card not detected on a Swift SF314-57
Hi, A beginner user with almost the same laptop here (SF314-57G, just an extra graphics card). I'm encountering the same bug with all ubuntu based distro's. The wierd thing is it will work just fine right after installation. The sound goes off right after the first update of the OS and a reboot. [Bug 1700657] Re: Touchpad not detected in Lenovo X1 Yoga / Yoga 720-15IKB
Sorry for the late reply but @io-mattia98, even hitting escape doesn't do anything for me when the system freezes. @kleber-souza the patch does work as expected but just that the system hangs while restarting, but if you power if off and restart it works again, which I assume is an issue with GRUB. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1700657 Title: Touchpad not detected in Lenovo X1 Yoga / Yoga 720-15IKB To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1700657/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1700657] Re: Touchpad not detected in Lenovo X1 Yoga / Yoga 720-15IKB
Was trying to troubleshoot this after I got my 720 yesterday day and this thread was a godsend, I downloaded the latest stable kernel, applied the line patch and it worked perfectly. Thanks!! :D But I think one issue that I am running into is what others mentioned above, I have to power cycle/reboot one or more times to get the machine to boot into Ubuntu, otherwise I just get a black screen and it hangs. [Bug 62900] DNS retruns 1.0.0.0 for UBUNTU Live and not in KUBUNTU
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntu-live HI, i have downloaded the UBUNTU 6.06 and KUBUNTU 6.06 and copied them into a CD. My System Conf is P4 1.9Ghz Intel 845glv, 768 RAM 10gb,40gb,80gb individual hdd. a Local ISP provider of 256kbps connection thru a huwaei modem with wireless, eth, usb connection available and the router running DHCP service. Internally the router is configured to connect to the ISP on PPPoE. My system is connected thru an ethernet port. When i ran the LIve CD of UBUNTU and try to connect the internet. I'm unable to browse all the pages except some UBUNTU pages. when i gave "netstat -an" command, I see the what ever request I had given the internal IP Address of my Router which acts as a DNS pass-thru resolves the request to IP address '1.0.0.0'. So i Searched the net thru my Windows XP system and was told that the IPV6 would be an issue. to test that i had to install ubuntu on my system. i was able to turn off IPV6, but still the problem persisted. There was another person mentioning that rather than having the router internal address as DNS, use the External DNS address in the DNS setting, which really solved the Issue. I just want to have a look of how KUBUNTU works so i have loaded the KUBUNTU using the LiveCD. On KUBUNTU I didnt do any network settings, but i was able to browse the Internet with out any issue DNS. The KUBUNTU uses the Internal IP Address of my router as DNS resolver. I would be happy if ppl can solve this issue.
