Dear all, I am using a Samsung N150 as well but with Gentoo. The last couple of days I read a lot since I have the same resume problem. I checked here and there and for me finally found a solution which repeatedly worked and sounded reasonable for me: Too me it looks like it is the intel CPU-Idle driver which is responsible. Therefore two solutions:
1) those compiling their own kernel: UNSELECT the "Cpudile Driver for Intel Processors" in Power management and ACPI options in the kernel configuration. or 2) Add "intel_idle.max_cstate=0" to your kernel parameters (please don't ask me how to do this with ubuntu) I hope this time I could contribute something to the linux community as I cannot really develop and usually only enjoy solutions...
