[Bug 282823] Re: Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 not working with gphoto backend
I've added the output of lsusb. My camera is listed on the 4th line. It's a small consumer-grade device, so I don't have the ability to switch it into other connection modes. At least, not that I'm aware of. When I have time this weekend, I'll try the patch. [Bug 272247] Re: System freezes during boot, unless I hold a key down
I'm experiencing this issue also with an HP Pavilion dv6700 laptop that works fine with Hardy. If you need some additional data from a different hardware set, I'd be glad to run any tests and capture any logs you would like. -- System freezes during boot, unless I hold a key down https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/272247 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 202670] Re: [nvidia-glx-new] Nvidia restricted driver locks system with xserver launch
I agree, they are definitely very similar. My bug was actually occurring with both the generic and the rt kernels (I'm wanting to jam with UbuntuStudio too). Both the generic and the rt kernels work with the latest nvidia driver if I add Option NvAGP 0 to the xorg.conf file. I'm not sure whether that's actually impacting graphics performance, though. Got any clue what NvAGP actually does? -- [nvidia-glx-new] Nvidia restricted driver locks system with xserver launch https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/202670 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 202670] [NEW] Nvidia restricted driver locks system with xserver launch
Public bug reported: I'm using 8.04 x86_64 upgraded from 7.10, but I experienced the same issue with a fresh 8.04 Alpha6 install. I've installed the nvidia restricted drivers from the restricted hardware manager. When I boot, the splash appears just fine and the system fires up. When it's time to launch gdm, however, the screen blanks and the system locks. Ctrl+Alt+F1, Ctrl+Alt+Delete, etc. do not work. I have to hit the reset button on my PC. Then, I uninstalled the nvidia-glx-new package, and installed the beta 171.06 driver using the shell script provided by Nvidia. I then encounter the same problem upon running startx, however. After another hard reset, when launching gdm I am presented with the low-graphics mode screen. If I try to reset it to nvidia in the xorg.conf file, xserver will not start. ** Affects: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Nvidia restricted driver locks system with xserver launch https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/202670 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 202670] Re: Nvidia restricted driver locks system with xserver launch
I tried using EnvyNG, but that just takes me back to the problem of a system lockup when gdm launches. -- Nvidia restricted driver locks system with xserver launch https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/202670 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
