[Bug 203195] [NEW] nautilus does not remove file '_x' from trash

2008-03-17 Thread Bartholomäus Clausius
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

Steps to reproduce on hardy:
1. Create a file on a partition that is not the home-partition an begins with a
'_', e.g. _x or __init__.py
$ touch  /mnt/Daten/barcc/Projekte/_x
2. $ nautilus /mnt/Daten/barcc/Projekte/
and delete the file (del). Now it is in /mnt/Daten/.Trash-1000/
3. Now open the Trash: $ nautilus Trash:///
  a) Press the 'Empty Deleted Items' button
  - All files are removed except the file _x
  b) Select the file _x and hit DEL and confirm the are-you-sure-dialog.
  - Now there is a dialog containing the text:
-

No such file or directory
-

Obviously, the path in the Dialog is wrong.
The correct path should be: /mnt/Daten/.Trash-1000/files/_x
So the file cannot be removed from trash with nautilus.
To ged rid of the file you have to remove it manually in a terminal.

[Bug 32906] Re: sudo shouldn’t ABSOLUTELY NEED to look up the host it’s running on

2008-03-17 Thread Bartholomäus Clausius
@asmoore82
But, again, I feel there is no bug here:
Maybe you are right if you have a new installation of hardy. But consider there
is a different behavior in hardy compared to previous releases (e.g. gutsy)
where a different hostname in /etc/hostname and /etc/hosts is accepted. If this
is kept there is an gutsy-hardy update problem.

[Bug 32906] Re: sudo shouldn’t ABSOLUTELY NEED to look up the host it’s running on

2008-03-15 Thread Bartholomäus Clausius
I can reproduce the bug in Hardy:

barcc:~$ sudo grep -v '^#' /etc/sudoers | grep -v '^$'
Defaults!lecture,tty_tickets,!fqdn,timestamp_timeout = 15
rootALL=(ALL) ALL
%admin ALL=(ALL) ALL

root:~# hostname foobar

barcc:~$ sudo id
sudo: unable to resolve host foobar
It warns and fails

But if i start aptitude -Actions-Become root, i get:
barcc:~$ aptitude
sudo: unable to resolve host foobar
[sudo] password for barcc:
And now in aptitude i am root.

Now i changed sudoers:
barcc:~$ sudo grep -v '^#' /etc/sudoers | grep -v '^$'
Defaults env_reset
rootALL=(ALL) ALL
%admin ALL=(ALL) ALL
But i get the same results
barcc:~$ sudo id
sudo: unable to resolve host foobar

[Bug 193545] Re: pressed keys repeats when mouse is clicked

2008-03-07 Thread Bartholomäus Clausius
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 194214 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/194214

This bug occurs only if compiz is activated, but the effect remains if compiz
is killed (I used user switch appelt to login as another user and killed compiz
from the console) or replaced by metacity ($ DISPLAY=:0.0 metacity --replace
). Seems as Xorg sends the last key without a break to the active window,
because only the two processes have higher CPU usage.
So im not sure wether it's a bug in compiz or Xorg.
I also tried to disable all plugins in ccsm, but the bug still appears

[Bug 181494] Re: Depends on obsolete xsu package

2008-02-28 Thread Bartholomäus Clausius
  This provides the same functionality.
not exactly, sudo execution is not possible this way
It's possible, why not? ($ sudo xnetcardconfig)

  +Conflicts: dhcp-client
Are you sure it will install ? as shown above pump provides dhcp-client
You are right, this is the correction.

[Bug 181494] Re: Depends on obsolete xsu package

2008-02-24 Thread Bartholomäus Clausius
Hi, here is my patch for this bug.
In addition to what was done in #ubuntu-classroom Thu 21st Feb i checked the
file xnetcardconfig.in and found that the script can reduced to:
  gksu @PREFIX@/bin/xnetcardconfig.real \
 -D /usr/share/applications/xfld-xnetcardconfig.desktop
  exit 0
This provides the same functionality.
I have tested it but should be reviewed.
