[Bug 913287] [NEW] Ristretto does not open images on network from Thunar
Public bug reported: I open Thunar and navigate to a Samba share using the 'Network' shortcut. I double click on an image (JPG) file stored on the Samba server and Ristretto opens, but it does not load the image. I just see a blank Ristretto window. When I click on the 'Open' button, navigate to the image, and then select it, it loads fine. But it should load the image directly when I double-click it in Thunar. Ubuntu: 11.10 ristretto: 0.0.93-2ubuntu1 thunar: 1.2.3-0ubuntu1 Please let me know if you need more information. I'm happy to provide more info. ** Affects: ristretto (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/913287 Title: Ristretto does not open images on network from Thunar To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ristretto/+bug/913287/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 445333] Re: remember password on printing to windows printers does not work
I have the same problem. I'm using Karma (9.10) and I'm printing to a Samba shared printer. I open the printer configuration dialog (system- config-printer), double-click on my printer, and click on "Change..." next to the device URI. After waiting some time while it's searching for printers (why is this necessary, by the way?), I select "Set authentication details now", enter my username and password and click on the "Apply" button. This has no effect whatsoever. When I reopen the dialog by clicking on "Change..." again, it has forgotten my username and password. Indeed when I try printing from Document Viewer, it keeps asking me for my username and password every time. -- remember password on printing to windows printers does not work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/445333 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 254044] Re: Wikipedia's image pages broken
As far as I can tell, the problem seems to have been fixed by now. I use Jaunty, amd64 and firefox 3.0.9 and do not experience this problem anymore. -- Wikipedia's image pages broken https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/254044 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 222458] Re: /lib/udev/hdparm Compares Against $DEVNAME.
Hello Jakob, I'm using Ubuntu Intrepid. I don't know whether I experience that bug, I have not looked at the apm settings yet. But I can do so if that's helping anyone. I currently only use /etc/hdparm.conf to set spindown_time (-S) and acoustic_management (-M) on one of my drives (viz. the one that is used only every now and then for storing backups). Thanks for the patch, I'll apply it when I have time. -- /lib/udev/hdparm Compares Against $DEVNAME. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/222458 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 222458] Re: /lib/udev/hdparm Compares Against $DEVNAME.
Addition: the proposed bugfix of Jakob works for me. After rebooting, the disk parameters are indeed set to the values in /etc/hdparm.conf. [Bug 222458] Re: /lib/udev/hdparm Compares Against $DEVNAME.
I confirm this bug, it's quite annoying. I have two drives and cannot predict which one will be /dev/sda and which one will be /dev/sdb after booting. Hence, the only thing I can do is select by the ids in /dev/disk/by-id but this is not supported by the current udev-rules. -- /lib/udev/hdparm Compares Against $DEVNAME. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/222458 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 144295] Re: Wishlist: Automatically split tar files at max size for filesystem
I acknowledge that this would be a very useful feature in sbackup. I would also like to backup to a FAT32-formatted external drive, which currently does not work. It would be great if sbackup could decide automatically on the best way to split up the archives. However, I could also settle for a solution in which the user is given an option to enter the maximal archive size limit. This is the way it is done in the DAR backup utility, for example. -- Wishlist: Automatically split tar files at max size for filesystem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/144295 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I'd like to verify this problem and also have some additional information.
