[Bug 1389077] Re: [HP ProBook 4530s] Intel Powerclamp is Slowing CPU
I can see the value in this sort of thing, as well, when power or heat constraints exist. Which is good for me since my laptop has bad heat dissipation. But this implementation is pretty bad. I've noticed that the idle injection doesn't stop for me until the process that caused it is killed. So if it starts up while playing a video on youtube, it won't stop injecting until I kill plugin container, even if the temps go below 60C. So that's truly annoying. Also, my high temp threshold seems to be around 70C, which I feel is much too low. Is there any way to adjust that parameter, for future reference? I will likely just disable powerclamp until it works better on my machine. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1389077 Title: [HP ProBook 4530s] Intel Powerclamp is Slowing CPU To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1389077/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1164558] Re: Not able to use updater: "You are not allowed to perform this action"
The symptoms are all over the place. Can't get elevated privliges in GUI applications, can't mount other drives/partitions, no shutting down from the GUI prompts. [Bug 1071575] Re: Wireless stops working after suspend; NM keeps asking for password -- Realtek RTL8188CE rtl8192ce
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected staging ** Description changed: Sometimes (I'm not sure if it only happens after a certain amount of time or number of resumes) when my computer is suspended, by myself or on its own, it will not connect to my wireless router upon resume. It will display a verification notice for my routers password over and over and over, but never connect. Wired internet still works fine. I keep having this problem show up every other release or so, across multiple computers. But it was also present in 12.04 so having it reappear in 12.10 is not fun at all. The wireless is working before it resumes, and the only method of fixing the issue is restarting the machine. [Bug 1071575] [NEW] Wireless stops working after suspend, keeps asking for wireless password.
Public bug reported: Sometimes (I'm not sure if it only happens after a certain amount of time or number of resumes) when my computer is suspended, by myself or on its own, it will not connect to my wireless router upon resume. It will display a verification notice for my routers password over and over and over, but never connect. Wired internet still works fine. [Bug 1069221] [NEW] Unity-greeter is not using wallpaper for the background.
Public bug reported: When I try logging in, the background for Unity-Greety is stuck on my default, and when I log in it quickly changes to the background I have chosen. [Bug 1061820] Re: Searching for "drivers" in the dash does not bring up any relevant results
Certainly hope it's handled before release. [Bug 1054776] Re: Don't include remote searches in the home lens
If they'd just put it in its own lens and let us choose what scopes appear in the home lens, the issue would be fixed. Not only would it keep us from seeing suggestions and sending data in the main dash hub if we don't want to, but it would allow other people who DO want that to keep it there. I don't think this simple choice is really too much to ask for but if is too much to do before 12.10, I would at least hope they complete it next cycle. Because geez, it would honestly make everyone happy. I agree it was taken out way of proportion in many situations, and it sounds really useful SOMETIMES. This little bit of compromise for the greater good wouldn’t hurt though. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1054776 Title: Don't include remote searches in the home lens To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-lens-shopping/+bug/1054776/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1054776] Re: Don't include remote searches in the home lens
I've made this comment on the issue on an OMGubuntu article: "Shopping should have it's own lens, making room for other shopping related scopes to integrate into it later (like newegg and whatnot). And I personally think that the home lens should have access to every scope in the dash, but which ones it displays should be optional and easy to configure!" This would avoid the cries of horror from those who believe canonical are giving amazon the ability to somehow monitor all of our searches.
