[Bug 1898712] Re: fusiondirectory fails with fatal error
This is fixed in Debian packaging: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=963075 I can confirm that adding the files listed in the above Debian bug fixes this issue. I was able to do it manually with curl as such: # curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/fusiondirectory/fusiondirectory/1.3-fixes/html/include/tsorter.js > /usr/share/fusiondirectory/html/include/tsorter.js # curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/fusiondirectory/fusiondirectory/1.3-fixes/include/class_Language.inc > /usr/share/fusiondirectory/include/class_Language.inc # curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/fusiondirectory/fusiondirectory/1.3-fixes/include/class_ldapSizeLimit.inc > /usr/share/fusiondirectory/include/class_ldapSizeLimit.inc # fusiondirectory-setup --update-cache -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1898712 Title: fusiondirectory fails with fatal error To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/openldap/+bug/1898712/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I'm marking this bug as 'Affects Me' because I've been bit by this upstream bug that's fixed in 6.4.7: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124470 TL;DR: There's a bug in 6.4.6 that causes it to not save table properties when saving with the options "Embed fonts" and "Only embed fonts that are used". [Bug 1754075] Re: apt-setup uses apt-key but probably should not anymore
I've just been bitten by this bug while upgrading our business PXE/preseed installations from Xenial to Bionic. We use an internal private repository for company specific packages. I'm unable to get the apt key installed with the preseed, so nothing works. I'm going to attempt the workaround mentioned above. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1754075 Title: apt-setup uses apt-key but probably should not anymore To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt-setup/+bug/1754075/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1676376] Re: package cups-daemon 2.1.3-4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-removal script returned error exit status 1
Manually refreshing the apt-cacher-ng cache did not solve the issue. The package list file at: http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/xenial-updates/main/binary- amd64/Packages.gz does not have cups-daemon in it. It seems it has not been updated with the new dependency on the package servers. The package list at: http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/xenial/main/binary- amd64/Packages.gz contains cups-daemon but with the outdated dependency. I checked these files by manually pulling them via web browser. There is no cache or proxy involved on my end. Here's a couple of hacky oneliners to test with. Check dists/xenial: # wget -qO - http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/xenial/main/binary-amd64/Packages.gz | zcat -c | grep -A 20 'Package: cups-daemon' | grep '^Package\|^Depends' | grep --color -E 'libcups2|$' Check dists/xenial-updates: # wget -qO - http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/xenial-updates/main/binary-amd64/Packages.gz | zcat -c | grep -A 20 'Package: cups-daemon' | grep '^Package\|^Depends' | grep --color -E 'libcups2|$' The second test returns nothing, since cups-daemon isn't in the package list yet. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1676376 Title: package cups-daemon 2.1.3-4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-removal script returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/1676376/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1676376] Re: package cups-daemon 2.1.3-4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-removal script returned error exit status 1
Interestingly, the page at http://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial-updates /cups-daemon shows the dependency has already been updated to = 2.1.3-4ubuntu0.2. Could this be a caching issue? I'm using apt-cacher- ng, so I'm going to try to force it to update. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1676376 Title: package cups-daemon 2.1.3-4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-removal script returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/1676376/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1676376] Re: package cups-daemon 2.1.3-4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-removal script returned error exit status 1
I'm also getting this on all the office workstations here. I think the source of the issue is this: cups-daemon : Depends: libcups2 (= 2.1.3-4) but 2.1.3-4ubuntu0.2 is to be installed It looks like the cups-daemon package needs to have it's dependency on libcups2 updated from 2.1.3-4 to 2.1.3-4ubuntu0.2.
[Bug 93911] Re: console-setup and ubuntu-minimal report configuration errors during apt-get upgrades
I'm on Kubuntu Feisty as well. Upgrading reports error 20 in console- setup.postinst. Attaching strace output. This is extremely annoying, and confuses the heck out of adept updater, which just says there was an error upgrading. ** Attachment added: Strace Output http://librarian.launchpad.net/6875716/strace.log -- console-setup and ubuntu-minimal report configuration errors during apt-get upgrades https://launchpad.net/bugs/93911 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 87418] Re: Partitioning very confusing in Kubuntu install
Just to note... it seems this has been fixed in herd 5, which has an all new partitioning system for the installer. I guess we can close this bug. :) -- Partitioning very confusing in Kubuntu install https://launchpad.net/bugs/87418 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 87418] Partitioning very confusing in Kubuntu install
Public bug reported: When installing Kubuntu from the desktop CD, the manual partitioning screen is far to confusing. When QtParted starts, I can edit my partions just fine. However, after committing the changes QtParted stays open. If I close QtParted, then hit the next button in the installer, it tells me that QtParted crashed and restarts it. It turns out that I'm supposed to leave QtParted open, switch to the installer, then hit next. This is very unintuitive. QtParted should close when the changes are finished committing, and the installer should automatically go to the next step. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Partitioning very confusing in Kubuntu install https://launchpad.net/bugs/87418 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
